Greetings, I am new!
This site rocks!
This was the first patchwork purse I ever made and has now aquired some wear but has held up awesome. I used scrap vintage material my mum got from her friend from the 50's, 60's, 70's and some of it is so beautiful. thats why it sucks that the pics arent great cuz all i have rite now is my camcorder, no digi)

lined it with a thick, tweed-like material. as you can see, the satin strap has started to fray http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/Cheshipillar/bagstrap.jpg
i wish the camera captured the shiny green satin, but it is a brilliant lime green!!! i did the embrodery with my mums old kenmore (the cams)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/Cheshipillar/kittybutton.jpg
cute kitty button http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/Cheshipillar/buttonhole.jpg
ah, the machine-done buttonhole that has come apart
it seems to me the button hole doesn't have a big enough gap in the middle so when i cut it, it cuts the thread. any suggestions??
well, thats my first bag. pretty simple, nothing fancy. just thought i'd share
