1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Cradle purses galore on: August 13, 2009 12:34:30 PM
Thanks. Oh so many little girls have been thrilled to receive one. My 6 yr old has 3 of them. I have a friend whos little girl was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor. I made some of these for a fundraiser so they could buy her wigs & whatever else she needs. They were a big hit.

They are so cute - my daughter is 2 & would totally love one! Also wanted to say my sister lost her life to a Wilm's tumor so know how much your fundraising will mean to this family - kudos to you for your generosity aswell as your cute creations xxxx

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Eric the graduation zombie! on: August 13, 2009 12:21:15 PM
thank you for your nice comments Smiley

Some people I've shown him to think he's a bit disturbing but my sister loves him & she's the one that counts!! My 2-year-old daughter rather disturbingly likes him lots too and has asked me to make her one too... perhaps a doll would be better!

Ignore criticisms, they're just jealous that they couldn't make something so lovely

wow the horse in particular is gorgeous Shocked)

I tend to lose interest just before I get to the end of a project, so have several WIPs on the go at a time so I can dip in & out & keep motivated!!!

10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Eric the graduation zombie! on: August 12, 2009 12:56:33 AM
Hi everyone
After weeks of lurking I've decided to register so I can say hello! I've recently re-discovered crochet (not done any since I was about 10 so 17 years!!) & this was my first real project - a zombie as a graduation present for my sister (Braaaains... you get it?? she loves zombies) I'd love to know what you think

I made him up as I went along & didn't keep a record of the pattern but may do in future projects so I can share. He's poseable and about 10 inches tall. I have a 2 1/2 yr old & a 4-month-old so he took me about 3 months worth of snatched moments (well I DO always keep several WIP on the go at once!!)
As I'm new it won't let me post a pic but here's the link

Look forward to getting to know you!
