1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / New Yarn/Craft Themed Music Video! on: October 07, 2009 02:00:31 PM
This is a song called "Crazy Jane" by SF/East Bay Area band Dizzy Balloon.
Enjoy!
[when I first watched it, it made me want to just make a mess with all my old yarn i'm probably never going to use and just dance around in it ]

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions for Scrap Blanket? on: September 24, 2009 08:25:02 PM
I want to start making a blanket that could fit on a pretttty small bed, like a twin or "college" twin.  I have ALOT of scraps and really random skeins of yarn of all colors.  Almost all are worsted weight yarn.
Now, I've been trying to find a blanket or afghan pattern that I like, but I'm not quite sure.  I want something where I can use as many of the color as possible, but not in like a very stripey way or in a ton of itsy bitsy squares (because I'm really horrible at sewing them all together).
I like really different, unique, almost random stuff.  So if anyone has any patterns or techniques or ideas they want to suggest, that would be INCREDIBLE and I would love you forever!

Thank you Thank you Thank you for even reading this.  I'm seriously extrememly grateful for the help! Cheesy
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hi, I'm Cortney and I'm a N00b... on: August 21, 2009 01:55:08 PM
Well, I'm not as much of a N00b as much as a lurker. lol

Anyway, I'm Cortney, I live in the central valley of California, and I loveeeeee crafting and making things out of whatever using whatever.  I go through phases of what I like to do, from crocheting or knitting to T-shirt reconstruction to polymer clay to friendship bracelets!  I like to dabble in it all.  Since I'm a student, have a part time job, AND volunteer, it's been hard recently to find time to really craft like I'd want to (and it doesnt help I suck at time management).  Lurking on Craftster had made me want to be more proactive about it, and maybe making some new friends on here would motivate me even more!

Anyway (I guess I say that alot), I'd love to meet some new people, talk about crafting, and all that jazz.  =]
Thanks!
