12  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions for Scrap Blanket? on: September 24, 2009 08:25:02 PM
I want to start making a blanket that could fit on a pretttty small bed, like a twin or "college" twin.  I have ALOT of scraps and really random skeins of yarn of all colors.  Almost all are worsted weight yarn.
Now, I've been trying to find a blanket or afghan pattern that I like, but I'm not quite sure.  I want something where I can use as many of the color as possible, but not in like a very stripey way or in a ton of itsy bitsy squares (because I'm really horrible at sewing them all together).
I like really different, unique, almost random stuff.  So if anyone has any patterns or techniques or ideas they want to suggest, that would be INCREDIBLE and I would love you forever!

Thank you Thank you Thank you for even reading this.  I'm seriously extrememly grateful for the help! Cheesy

15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Two finished slouch type hats on: September 24, 2009 06:59:02 PM
These are awesome!  I've been wanting to make one like the purple one for a while now in white, but I just haven't gotten around to it.  This has definately inspired me to do it now!

For selling them, I'm kinda a cheapskate so maybe I'm not the best person to ask.  My first initial idea was $10, but you could maybe sell these at a boutique for about $20 or so.  I'm seen alot uglier and worse crafted hats go for even more than that.

19  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi, I'm Cortney and I'm a N00b... on: August 26, 2009 09:11:25 PM
Yeah like right now I've been really wanting to work on fashion and redo-ing my wardrobe since money is pretty tight and updating what you already have is so much cheaper than buying new, and it's a plus it is one-of-a-kind!

21.  Newspaper!  I love using newspaper to layer on objects, such as vases, lamp bases, even the bottom of clear plates, or decorate greeting cards.  Really, the uses of newspaper are endless and the variety of prints make it versatile, with straight black and white text or bright colored photos, ads, or comics.  Also, it's fun to color or scribble on to add color. =]
