1  Nevermore Fabric Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Poosel on: March 13, 2013 10:19:23 PM
When I saw this fabric, I had to have it...and I had to make a purse with it. It's like Michael Miller took a can opener to my brain.

It's a sort of draw-string bag. I did not have a pattern for it.

Camoovas, I can't find your yahoo e-mail anymore, and I dunno how else to send you the pic.
Embarrassed starting to feel like the biggest ass in the world. I'm sending a picture to let you know that I'm not full of crap. Once Maui is done being "furred" and painted I'm sending all of this off. Painting, purse, sculpture, puppy and kitty toys, and hair ties ( Wink )

5  VBI wristlet after deruyter2008 in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Poosel on: September 17, 2010 03:29:36 PM
So, here is my VBI wristlet, following deruyter's tute (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=358767.0)

The outside zipper was the biggest pain in the ankles, and I'm so glad I laminated the fabric first. I bled a lot during and after the pinning. My sewing machine needed CPR twice during the process (once, because one of my pooches wanted to help and plopped down on the foot....argh  Roll Eyes)

I got the fabric on etsy by showpony....LOOOOOV E it

I decided to go with only one ID holder on the outside and a bigger coin zipper on the inside.

Accordion bill holder. Hello Presibama Smiley

Secret pocket for those heavier days o' the month Tongue

I had a lot of spine for some reason and at the same time was annoyed by having to find chapstick....and thought....ROOM FOR A SECRET CHAPSTICK POCKET  Grin

I added a strap to the outside pocket so my phone won't fall out.

Thank you deruyter2008 for putting up that tute. I love my new wristlet!!!!

7  Buttercup bag with bats in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Poosel on: September 06, 2010 06:46:23 PM
ok, I feel bad, because I really have to work on my swaps, but something overcame me and I made a bag instead. The pattern is from 'Made by Rae' (http://www.made-by-rae.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html) and the fabric stuff is a stellarcheri influence (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=357497.0)

I used a background fabric that, I feel like, makes it look a bit lunar surface, with the batty fabric on top of it. I'm so proud of myself, because I didn't have to buy anything. Both fabrics (and lining too) are from my stash. Due to the fact of me being a bat nut, I'm probably going to use it not just during Halloween. Not sure yet if I'm going to add long straps, or shorter ones....leaning towards short though. KK, done blabbering...here are the pics:

and here is the inside. I put in a pocket for my phone, camera (which is empty, because I'm taking a picture  Grin, and plannerthingy

8  Re: Boney Addvice in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Poosel on: September 05, 2010 10:39:36 AM
Do I just soak it in the hp? Or do I need to clean it with a brush or something?

I used a soft brush to get dirt and stuff off (I found a cat skull) and then I soaked it in 30% food grade peroxide (I think healthfood places carry it) and let soak about a day. You should wear gloves when you do it...it turns your skin tingely Tongue)

here is the kitty (we found it on the train tracks that run by our place)

it even got the bones in the nasal area all nice a squeeky clean.

9  Re: NEW DIY Method for Printing on Fabric with Household Products! (photos!!) in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Poosel on: September 02, 2010 06:05:44 PM
oh do show us Poosel!!! Smiley

Ok Grin
I just used Word...and the clipart from it as well.

The first one is an octopus (I like how the legs are loopy like the writing)
The second one is a fly, and the third are bats.

These are a lot of fun to make....and all the other possibilities...
I didn't use vinegar for mine. After they were done printing, I heat set them with an iron. I have washed them and the ink stays and nothing smears or runs Grin

the pupsicle looks like my pooseldog, but younger and lighter. Does he have pinch of min pin in him? My pooseldog is 100% min pin....acts like a 200 pound rottie though Grin

I also hava a Sam....he is my Irish Setterlab mix. He thinks he's a cute little teddy bear.
