28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Funky tank to cute "sleep wear" on: August 23, 2009 06:27:24 PM
This was one of those tanks that had the boob pads that folded everytime you washed it and were hard to get strait.  Plus Im a big enough girl and this made me look prego so I stoppd wearing it a while ago.  With all my crafting Ive been doing I wanted to do some thing with this I love the colors and pattern.  So I cut the top from the bottom, took the pads out and stiched the middle more for a little more cleavage.  With the bottom I simply cut out a panty shape but flowy and sowed together the crotch.  I didnt bother hemming the edges I wanted them to have a wave to them (plus Im not that good with the sewing machine yet and I didnt want them that funky Tongue).  So let me know what you think!!! Smiley

Know we just have to wait and see what my hubby thinks :PLOL

Thank you so much http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=288054.0  for the inspiration I threw this together this morning for my husband who needs  some place to keep his pens and badge for work.  I used some scrap jean from a pair of jeans I used for a purse and glued it to cardboard for support.  Its just a temporary one until I hve the time and no how to make thae one like hers.

Thanks for looking!!!  please comment!!! Smiley
30  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / funky little shorts on: August 22, 2009 07:16:55 PM
So my grandma gave me a sewing machine and I am trying to learn but dont just want to waste things so I am trying to find things that can be used but theat we dont care about so I decided to try to make my boys shorts with an old pair of my ripped jeans.  They are quite funky but I am just trying to learn to sew and I think they will be fine for outside play or something right.  The difference in them is the belt thats how you can tell which kid it is.  Oh and sorry about the boys no bath yet after a long day of play and no shirts.  Please comments welcome  Thank You!!! Grin
