1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Capes and Skirt (IMG heavy) on: February 20, 2010 08:16:26 AM
The long black cape I finished by the end of the summer and have been wearing it all winter. For this one I didnt use any pattern. It is so warm and perfect for rainy days! Smiley
The blue skirt is made from Burda's A-Plus A-Line pattern and the shorter cape I just finished. It is made from "Cape Dracula" pattern from sewable.blogspot.com! Thank you Geri for this great pattern!^^  The buttons in this one are handmade too.

So I let you with the pictures. C&C are very welcome! Wink

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / I feel like swinging! Skirt on: August 18, 2009 08:11:56 AM
For my birthday, I got a new sewing machine from my brother. And of course I couldn't wait to get it running! Smiley
This is the first finished product of my euforia!

sorry for having to use the bathroom mirror, but there was no other way to capture the skirt on my own Tongue

And a bad picture of the fabric... it is flannel.

I used also a black cotton for the interior of the upper part, to make it more solid and better looking!
I didn't really know how it would turn out, but the second I putted it on I just felt like swinging down the hall! lol I love the high waist! I think I'll be wearing this a lot!

I will appreciate any C&C!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / "Emily The Strange"'s Cat - Purse for Carnival Costume !PIC HEAVY! on: August 18, 2009 07:53:07 AM
I made this to complement my Emily The Strange costume for last carnival party in my town (which is well known in Portugal for this season city party! Tongue) I was gonna post this in the toys section, because I recreated an original Emily toy:
but for my version I made his body a purse, so I posted here!
This way the cat was not only a way to complement my costume but it was also useful to carry my money and cell phone in a safe place around the party!
I am very proud of how it came out. I didn't used any pattern at all, just my instinct Cheesy  And it stands in my desk on it's own too!  Roll Eyes

Here is Mystery Smiley

Here's how he holds easily in my arm... He is so well behaved! Tongue

And an action shoot, before the party... I was actually pretty ugly and scary in my costume  Embarrassed

I will appreciate your C&C!
