1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Craft Supplies Organization Help! on: August 09, 2009 10:54:31 PM
As of right now I have four boxes from IKEA filled with various crafting things. Unfortunately, I have to stack them to minimize the space, but every time I do a project (which is quite often), I'm stuck opening, moving, and just generally making a mess of the boxes!

I was wondering if anyone had a quick, inexpensive, creative solution! The supplies I use the most are my acrylic paints and brushes. And I would like some type of thing to keep my stickers in good condition too! I was thinking of hanging some homemade baskets on my wall, however, most of the patterns that I've seen require a decent amount of fabric and a sewing machine, neither of which I have.

Any help would definitely be appreciated!!  Smiley
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / College Girl Longing for Her Own Machine! on: August 09, 2009 02:54:42 PM
Okay, so I've been bugging my mom to try and buy a sewing machine. I'm in college and can't really afford much in terms of money and space. I saw a machine for $40 at Walmart, but I was thinking that maybe it would be a hassle to work with.

So for right now I've been coming home to do my projects of baby things and stuffed turtles on my mom's Euro-Pro Fast and Easy. It can be a LOT tempermental.

So I was just wondering what would be a good machine to do the basic, easy, beginner things that I need to do at a decent price.
