1  Recycled Ornament in Winter Holidays by dandelionlady on: December 07, 2009 11:55:55 AM

I love embossing metal, but it's kind of expensive, so I was thrilled when I discovered that the inside metal lids off of food canisters, (I got mine off of a raisin package) can be embossed.  It already kind of looked like a christmas ornament so I decided to go with it.  I think it turned out really well.  I wish I had more stuff to open and use so I could make more of them!

2  Ginormica from Monsters vs Aliens in Halloween Costumes by dandelionlady on: October 26, 2009 07:41:06 PM

I wanted to be Susan from Monsters vs Aliens, so I bought a unitard and went crazy with the puff paint.  It was a ton of fun, and the best part is that I used glow in the dark paint so I light up.  I cut off a couple of socks to make footies for it, and used a part of the sock to make the neck band. It's not quite exactly like the movie but I'm pretty happy with it.
