1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / skirts into dresses [img chunky] on: January 01, 2010 02:23:35 PM
EDIT: I just realized I put this in tha wrong section, but idk how to move it><

My mom gave me these huge polyester skirts that her mom had in the sixties. I had no idea what to do with them until this morning when I just ripped one seam out, turned it diagonal-like and sewed it. It turned them into these Shocked :
The black one:

The purple one:

IDK where I'm gonna where them though!!! Lips sealed Huh

Tell me whatcha think!!! Roll Eyes
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shrug(and tutu) on: January 01, 2010 09:27:08 AM
So, does the shrug make it 'legal' according to the school dress code?  Some fuddy-duddy administrators might frown at the "peeks" of skin front & back....  Just checking.
Yea, our dress code just says to have sleeves that are at least 3 inches, and nothing see thru, but that's not a problem:)
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Shrug(and tutu) on: January 01, 2010 01:17:26 AM
So I have this top I made from a huge t-shirt. Problem is: A, the straps make it against dress code at my school. and B, I had some fabric left over from the shirt. So I made this matching shrug today, in the photos I'm wearing the top it goes with. I'm pretty sure anyone else would have done this a billion times easier(and better), but it took me forever, and I got so frustrated, but I got it done, and I like it.

What do you think?

I made the tutu this morning, cuz I was bored:)

due to a tragic and unforeseen series of unfortunate events, i have not been able to refinish that one large item! would it possibly be ok to go ahead and send the rest of the package, then send the other thing in the near future? Embarrassed
