3  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / My first spin on a Drop Spindle on: March 08, 2010 08:08:26 AM

Ok so the green was my first spin, the pink is my second. I used merino wool. Hand dyed myself.

I recently purchased a babe drop spindle from etsy.
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=41830967

I also ordered some merino roving but haven't gotten it in yet. Good thing the spindle seller slipped me a sample. My 2 year old goddaughter helped me spin up this little skein of yarn. I went thick and thin. It's hard trying to draft when a 2 year old is around asking "Cissy, what you doin'? What you doin'?" The sample is yellow, green and has some sparkly fibers in it. It is supposed to be 100% wool. I set the twist last night and I figured I wanted to felt the yarn...never really seen that before. I have the yarn hanging to dry. Might felt it some more before I actually knit up a little something on it.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cross Cabled Baby Beret on: February 11, 2010 12:08:36 PM

Pattern is from Ravelry, I made some adjustments and changes to the cable pattern and made the hat smaller also. It was a &*(^$ to keep up with the pattern in between knitting.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / POM POM HAT on: February 11, 2010 09:30:24 AM
Lena's pom pom hat I made. Our 2nd photo shoot. My aunt takes pics, I'm the prop maker and model poser. LOL!! This pose took us forever!

OMG FINALLY, my aunt sent me this pic! It took me so long to get this pose right! She was awake and totally a wiggle worm, hence her nick name "pushy girl"! Her eyes had to be photoshopped closed!

7  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Lena's Bling Converse- pic heavy on: February 10, 2010 05:57:36 PM

SO this is the FIRST baby shower I threw. I'm so proud of the way everything turned out!! AND so was my BFF! My aunt made the diaper cake and most of the decor is from my bedroom. Sad that I own so much Zebra decor!!

Lena's table, and I decorated the chucks!
