1  Bloogs blowing by in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: February 17, 2010 04:03:41 PM
My Daughter currently is obsessed with Dr. Seuss's "Oh The Thinks You Can Think" and her favorite page is this one:

She can barely speak yet, but she will shriek "Booog! Boog!" when we get to that page! So I decided to make her one of her own:

Here is a closer look at the face:

2  My Daughter's spring wardrobe (Pic obese) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: February 17, 2010 03:54:14 PM
I bought Ashley from Lil Blue Boo's Sienna Dress pattern a month or so ago, and I've been obsessed ever since! My goal for this spring is to make her whole wardrobe, I think I'm well on my way!

These dresses were all made with recycled T shirts, from thrift stores, so overall I would say they cost between $0.50-$2.50 apiece! They are super thrifty as well as cute!

3  Toddler dress! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: January 06, 2010 01:06:03 PM
I made this dress using the "Sienna Dress" pattern by Ashley of Lil Blue Boohttp://lilblueboo.blogspot.com/. I love love LOVE that pattern! It was so easy to use and absolutely turned out great! I used recycled T-shirts and my daughter loves monkeys right now so it was perfect!

4  sweater dress for toddler from turtleneck recon in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: October 16, 2009 10:44:58 PM
Hi! My friend gave me a bunch of her clothes she was getting rid of, and in her bag was this turtleneck that was too small for me, but too soft and plush to give up. I tried the neck on my daughter, and it made the perfect cowl neck on her! I shortened and reshaped the sleeves, brought in the sides of the shirt, and hemmed the bottom, and presto-chango! A new sweater dress for the chilly autumn days! These pictures with my uncooperative model do no adequately capture the adorable cuteness of this dress. She wears this about 3 times a week right now, it was super easy and you can't beat free!

Not the most flattering pic of my daughter, but she was hungry and we were forcing her to take pictures!

Here she is eating, and somewhat obscuring her dress.

5  Birthday dress for a 1 year old princess in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: October 16, 2009 10:40:35 PM
This year my daughter's first birthday was cupcake themed, so of course she needed a cupcake dress! I used a vintage pattern (which turned out to be WAY too big, bummer) and so I will probably have to adjust it so it fits her better, but still, it turned out super cute!

Here is the top of the dress without her sweater on, like I said it turned out waaaaaaaay too big, I don't know what kind of 18 month old this pattern was supposed to fit...

Overall, I was pretty happy with the way it looked. And she was comfortable, and hey, at least it'll fit her for a while!
I will leave you with some of the cupcake-related things I made for the party:

Plush cupcakes as favors:

A beanbag cupcake for her (she is trying to eat it in this pic):

6  Onesies for onesies swap (kinda image intense) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: October 16, 2009 10:32:22 PM
Hi! I just finished participating in the Onesie Swap, round 3! My partner stated that she and her husband liked punk/ska stuff for their soon-to-be born little boy, so this was my attempt! This was my first attempt EVER at freezer paper stenciling, so be kind. I see what everyone is raving about now, it is so addictive!

Here is my favorite, the Rock Hand! This was super hard to cut out:

This one is ska-style suspenders and sunglasses:

This is a mohawk silhouette:

A Safety pin, of course!

And a guitar:

And as an extra, I added a coordinating pair of shoes. These have black fleece on the inside, to keep baby's toes warm:

Here's a picture of it all together (ignore my gross ironing board!)

7  Semi-pirate elephant plush in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: September 19, 2009 10:05:44 PM
For my sister-in-law's new baby nursery she bought this print to hang on the wall: http://www.art.com/asp/View_HighZoomResPop.asp?apn=14196112&imgloc=29-2936-Z00DRAPP.jpg&imgwidth=894&imgheight=671

I decided that she needed a matching stuffed elephant to go in the new baby's room, so I made her this:

Now what you can't see from the picture is how HUGE this elephant is. I thought this was going to be a smallish toy, but turns out this guy is probably as big as my 1 year old DD! Anyhow, because this nursery has a pirate theme, I embroidered some "tattoos" on this guy to make him pirate-y.

An anchor, of course:

A skull and crossbones:

And best of all, a "mom" on his (not so) little butt:

8  Niece's birthday outfit in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: September 19, 2009 09:58:10 PM
My little niece is turning 1 in a couple weeks and I decided to make her this funky outfit. I made the skirt and the vest out of a pillow case I had laying around, and appliqued a t-shirt with her initial for added cuteness.

Here is the finished product:

Here is the initial and the inside of the vest:

And here is the other side of the vest, I made it reversible in case she gets it dirty! This way if it gets food on it all they have to do is flip it over...

9  Birthday clothes for my daughter in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: September 19, 2009 09:55:06 PM
My DD is turning 1 in a few weeks, and is having a cupcake themed birthday party! Of course, she needs some cupcake clothes to go along with the theme! So I appliqued some onesies and a jacket for her to get as presents, and here they are:

Here is a little jacket!

And some onesies for under the jacket:

10  Two more baby gowns from T shirts and a onesie! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Rinnial on: September 19, 2009 09:52:06 PM
Since the last time I made this is was a huge success, I decided to make two more for my sister in law who is having a new niece/nephew for us, and who loves pirates! Both are made from my husband's cast-off T shirts (he also loves pirates).

This one was for if she has a boy:

And this one was for if she has a girl, it has puffed sleeves:

Here is a onesie I made with a simple applique, to go with the rest of the stuff she got:

and just for fun, a matching pirate themed flag bunting for the nursery!:
