71  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What made you start crafting? on: December 27, 2009 01:29:04 PM
For me it all started in middle school when I saw my first duct tape wallet. I thought it was amazing and found a book about duct tape projects. I ended up picking crafts back up over the summer of this year.
72  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Yarn Pin Cushion (Really pic heavy) on: December 26, 2009 02:56:08 PM
I went a little craft crazy a couple of nights ago (holiday stress I think) and I was working on making a toy mouse for my cat when I realized I needed a pin cushion. (I kept sticking my needles in the couch)
So I tried thinking of a really cool looking pin cushion when I walked in my kitchen to get something to drink and saw my own take on this

I ran upstairs and grabbed my own yarn and tried to think of how to make the center. So I picked up some duct tape and rolled it into a ball. Then I kept wrapping the yarn I glued the end. And got this.

73  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Card Fan(Tute and Pic heavy) on: December 24, 2009 12:55:27 PM

So this is cheap easy and cute. It's really great for the summer. Grin I've put up a tute for you so you can make one.

You will need:
a screw hole punch
String
5 cards
An old mouse pad

Make sure your cards are lined up. This is very important.

Punch a hole in the bottom center of the cards.

Now tie the string through the hole NOTE: not all the way. There should be enough room for you to spread out the fan.

Cut off any spare string and you'll be finished

(How was my first tute?)

I made this out of old scraps I had. Sorry about the pics I was taking pictures with my left hand. (I'm right handed)

76  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ipod Case (pic heavy) on: December 22, 2009 11:06:30 AM
I made this for my man for Christmas Cheesy I'd like to thank Amaya_Fey and my mom for helping me.
Story behind it: He listens to both rock and country. I've always been more of a rock/metal girl. The main part of the case (black) represents rock and the cowboy hat is country.

77  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Ipod Case? on: December 13, 2009 10:48:43 AM
I want to make the boyfriend an Ipod case that is special and unique. I want it to be all about music but he likes country and rock music. What do I do?

80  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Corset (Fail?) on: November 30, 2009 02:02:58 PM
This was a corset I made out of old shirts. I hope you guys like.

Boning?  I know that this is used to keep the corest up and to help it keep shape, but is there anything CHEAPER!?  You need so much of it, its expensive, AND it seems to ruin it.  TO sew it, there's visible seams on the front, which I don't want.  Any ideas?

Well I made a corset out of old shirts for my Halloween costume that turned out looking great. (It was my first one too) I cost me not a penny
