You guys have some great ideas. Maybe you could help me. I'm in a creative rut. My 7 year old wants to be a Vampire Punk Ballerina. I'm working on a dark purple tutu and I have black lace to add to it. I figure I'll get her some black tights and boots. I just don't know what she should wear up top. Everything I look at is all corsets and crap! She's 7, you know.  Huh So if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dana A

Hmmmm.....tough one. I'd say find a t-shirt that is dark purple and isn't baggy.....I really wish I could help you more but it's tough because I'm a teenager who loves corsets and tank tops.

LOL oh the puppy dog eyes did me in!

I'll see if I can make up a tute in the next day or two. It's really simple - just layering of felts and basic sewing.  Wink

No one can resist the puppy dog eyes  Tongue Thanks and can't wait to see it.
779  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making Your Own Corset? on: October 21, 2009 02:46:56 PM
Boning?  I know that this is used to keep the corest up and to help it keep shape, but is there anything CHEAPER!?  You need so much of it, its expensive, AND it seems to ruin it.  TO sew it, there's visible seams on the front, which I don't want.  Any ideas?

Well I made a corset out of old shirts for my Halloween costume that turned out looking great. (It was my first one too) I cost me not a penny
