1  Doctor Who and Harley Quinn Inspired Bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by 1watermonkey on: July 25, 2014 11:09:15 AM
I did an artist table at a con recently with my friend so I made a lot of new things. I wanted to share these two bags because I was really happy with how they turned out. Smiley The Tardis one was the most work, I hand painted the Police Box words (which made me nervous because I'm not a great traditional artist!) and then satin stitched the windows and outlines.

2  Harry Potter and Adventure Time Plushes in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by 1watermonkey on: July 25, 2014 11:05:35 AM
These are some of the plushes I made lately. Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, and Draco from Harry Potter and then Fiona, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure time. Smiley They are all handsewn and Ginny is my favorite because I love how cute her freckles turned out. Smiley I have so much fun making these!

I recieved my package from Pupper a few days ago, but my camera has been on the blitz. Finally had to use my phone to get some pictures. Smiley She sent a super cute tiny felt pumpkin guy, Halloween Craft Books, candy, lots of stickers and Halloween crafty things, and alot of odds and ends all in a cute green witch bucket. Thanks again Pupper! What a fun swap. Smiley

I'm glad you liked them. Smiley The nook cover is actually made to look like the original cover of the A Wrinkle in Time book. I also sent a roll up purse organizer. Here are a few more pictures since that one didn't load of the inside. Smiley

My secret partner was Lindyv321! Smiley She really spoiled me! She sent an awesome owl tote bag, she says it's the first tote bag she's made, but you would never guess it, it's gorgeous and very well made. Cheesy Then, a great tenth Doctor hoopla, beautiful tree wrap bracelet, pendant with one of my favorite quotes, a tardis ribbon bookmark, and some Riesen candy. Cheesy Thanks again Lindy, I love everything!

Everything together:

I received my awesome package from patty_o_furniture! Smiley

She sent me a monster book of monsters needlebook. I love it! I have been in major need of a needlebook, have been using a scrap of felt to stick my needles in.  Tongue And this little guy is adorable. Cheesy She also sent a cool corresponding bookmark which my five year old has insisted we use right away to keep track of where we are in the book we're currently reading together. Smiley Thanks so much patty_o_furniture!

I received on Friday from Daphadillyart, but due to weekends being crazy time hectic, finally now had a chance to get pictures and post. She sent me an amazing package!  Shocked

First, this awesome Howl hoop. This is from one of my favorite parts of the movie, when Howl is freaking out about not being beautiful.  Grin I love it so much!

Then this adorable crocheted Jiji. So cute! I'm always envious of the rocking crochet skills on here.

Some Kiki's Delivery Service buttons which I have already decorated my purse with Cheesy

And a bunch of extras, crafting supplies, notebook, and thank you cards. Thanks again, Daphadillyart! You really spoiled me and I love everything! Smiley

I had a friend visiting the last two weeks so wasn't able to do as much crafting as I would have liked for May! I have been lurking and admiring all the awesome projects people have been making so far though, just haven't had much time to post or craft. So, I probably won't get the Battle done this month, but I did get two projects done this week to finally submit to this. Smiley

Challenge: Randomizer
Team: Team He Who Must Not Be Named
Project Geekdom (if any): Doctor Who
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Doctor Who Owl Potholders
Brief Description: Sometime back I had pinned some Doctor Who owl potholders made to resemble the 10th and 11th doctors to make someday. When I was at the thrift store I saw the perfect dress pants for the project, so I set about picking out several more pairs of mens dress clothes from the 99Cent section of my store. When I had the two ready to make, I decided I really needed to make one based off the ninth doctor as well, because he never gets much love and I really love him, more than eleven really. So I drew up a design of him as well and had an old pleather jacket that my niece had outgrown to make him with. Aside from some insulbrite and a few scrap pieces for bowtie/ties I already had, they were made entirely of recycled clothing and I think they turned out very cute. Smiley

Challenge: Textbook
Team: Team He Who Must Not Be Named
Project Geekdom (if any): Harry Potter
Bonus Points: Nerdy & Super Nerdy
Project Name: Deathly Hallow's T-Shirt
Brief Description: I have wanted to make myself a Deathly Hallows shirt for a long time, and saw this as the perfect opportunity. It's a simple stenciled shirt but I think the metallic gold fabric paint really makes it pop. Smiley (it's much shinier in person)

10  Needle Felted Cats in CHALLENGE 86 ENTRIES by 1watermonkey on: May 03, 2013 07:18:36 AM
I made these around two years ago for the Craft My Pet swap and just never posted them. I needle felted versions of my partner's three cats. Took forever!  Shocked But they turned out pretty cute. Smiley I think I had bloody fingers after this. Wink I do enjoy needle felting though, I should do more of it.
