I love it.

My Husband and I wanted some different engagement photo's to announce that we were finally getting married... We both love gaming and zombies and nonsense and I had seen some similar pictures on Pinterest.   Aaaanyways. We needed a zombie, so I commandeered a friend from school. An hour and a half later...




This is a good shot of the brain ick... the majority of his teeth had fallen out by then.

The shots turned out great. His mother thought they were "UnGodly".
So I got good shots AND a giggle out of it.

Soooooo. My husband is on a trip this week and I'm hoping to surprise him with a house full of goodies when he gets back! This is my version of a Mass Effect gun for my hubby!



First I took a regular Nerf Gun and spray painted it grey
(I felt cheap at the store... so the paint did crack... but it's okay. I added a few more coats!)


Painters tape off all of the places I wanted to keep grey.


This is how it turns out... it's a little messy so I just went back and fixed it with a brush.


Finished product.

SO. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince party that my friends and I were planning was racing toward me...and I've always wanted all of us to have wands for the event. However...spending hours with an exacto knife and a dowel rod didn't exactly sound like my cup o' tea! So, defeated, I browsed the web looking for other options and behold! A random add on the side of my screen "Make Harry Potter wands out of Paper!".

So, 3 paper cuts and hot glue gun burns later...

I'll admit that they aren't fantastic... but I am working on more, practicing, hoping to make better ones.
