Ahh so cute!  I wish I was in that phase right now!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bicycle Race by Queen-inspired purse on: March 28, 2005 02:00:37 PM
I made this purse for my friend Sara, who introduced me to the awesomeness that is Queen.

You can't really see due to my crappy camera, but the text on the border around the pictures says, "all i wanna do is..." in gold paint marker.  Like, "All I wanna do is bicycle"... if you know the song.

It's made on a frozen French-bread-pizza box.  The blue leopard print is an old book cover, trimmed with black duct tape.  The closure is a tie closure, which isn't really convenient, but I couldn't find a good way to use velcro.  The ribbon is silver and gold shinyness.

Again, you can't tell from the pictures, but I am so proud of this strap because it's made of old suspenders, and is thus adjustable to any length with the sliders.  And, it also looks darn spiffy.

nice use of the lord of the rings font from dafont. (graphic deisng typography fanantic. sorry.)
Actually, it's called Airstamp (from dafont too, I think), but I considered LOTR!  I'm a font junkie too.  Graphic design all the way!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Chad Michael Murray purse for obsessed friend on: February 16, 2005 07:42:08 PM
My friend Theresa is obsessed with CMM, so when she asked me to make her a purse I thought it would be fun to make one with him on it.  It's made out of a cereal box, contact paper, tape, and magazine clippings.  And a few pink heart stickers. The back is painted, but everything is covered with the tape so it won't peel off.  The strap is a black shoelace.  I don't really like it because it's too thin, but it's sturdy enough and I'm too lazy to change it.  It's also adjustable in length, if you pull it through the whole it's punched through and tie another knot.  The closure is velcro.

Pictures!

I didn't want Hilary to be on there, but she was too sneaky and wrapped herself around the Chad

Yeah, bipolar works better!

It's schizophrenic because it's a happy, light personality on one side and a dark personality on the other.  I know that multiple personalities and schizophrenia aren't the same thing, but I like to use schizophrenia incorrectly anyway because it's fun to type.  Grin

I made this purse out of contact paper, duct tape, some purple fabric, and an awesome page from Entertainment Weekly's year-end issue.  The straps are twisted bias tape and a twisted black shoelace.  I am still giddy over the greatness of the art.  It's kind of small and won't hold much, but it's so cute that I don't even care.  *hearts art*  Anyway, pictures!

What do you think?  Sorry for the low-quality pictures.
