I must confess, both the candles and the rocks were bought. With the candles I was going to make something similar with a pillar, but I recently had to change wax and I haven't worked out my wax/wick ratio yet so as a matter of safety I was not comfortable sending that out. The little pots were an inspired thrift store purchase. As for the rocks I had wanted to make these myself but the book that I got the instructions for the sachet didn't have a supply list and refrences them as a "handful of pebbles scented with potpourri oil" so I was not sure what to use. Now having gotten the ones I have sent I would say is that all you have to do is buy or find some smooth unsealed river rocks and soak them in potpourri oil or an herb scented oil for a week or two and then dry them out for another couple weeks on a rack.

Here is the package that I recived:

3 honey lip glosses

1 vanilla and lime body balm

a collection of chamomile and lavender soaps

a bottle of lavender essential oil

all inside of a knitted bag

plus a soap mold and M&P soap base

I'm really happy with what I got and hope my partner likes what I sent her.

Just checking in. Had to scrap one idea today because it was not as practical as I first thought, now I am trying to figure out how to modify it on this second try. I'm interested too to see what PG means, I thought it had something to do with the lungs.......

yes, it stands for organ donation. The necklace that I made this from was one I wore for when I went to the World Transplant games in Austrailia.

I previously made a 4-in-1 with this size ring, but it did not hold up. So I took it apart and made a byzintine chain instead. Since it was not really a reconstuction I figured it best to put the pictures here:

Sorry for the last pic, not sure why could not get a good close up.

C&C always apriciated.

Checking in ^.^ Had THE SWINE as it has been called at my college, and I am waiting for it to be completely clear- then I get to disinfect my room and bathroom (it's something I do once I get well- a nice big clean). But, sick doesn't keep me from planning....

As long as Jorie doesn't mind orange striped huffalumps  Roll Eyes *throws out that part of her to do list*

What is a huffalump?!  Haha.

From what I remember it was an elephant that Tigger told Winnie the Pooh would steal honey, and from the way the Disney animators made them they sort of look like alcoholic "pink elephants". Im not sure what I would do with one. I hope you get better soon.

As for me I have a few ideas, but my craft room is still being comendeered for a kitchen while mine is being remodeled for another week. I hope to get a move on things after that. I also hope to get ideas and extras from the Chicago flower and garden show next week.

Since we are on the subject of alternative medicine, here is another link that people might find helpful.

www.naturalstandard .com

It's a catchall site on research relating to alternative medicine, providing information on interactions, side effects, effectiveness, precautions etc...... Its a rather balanced site in that it is neither pro or con on the subject. My friend and her classmates use it (she's pre-med) to help them when they are working with patients out on their rotations.
