11  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Apple Eating Contest on: October 03, 2005 04:58:54 PM
I have these two friends who had an apple eating contest the other night. I told them that whoever won, I would make them a tshirt but they tied. Now, I need to come up with a witty saying for both of them and I can't think of anything.

Is there anyone who can think of something clever?

that's pretty good - how do you make it go all pixelly??

i scanned the image but made it 50x50 in size then blew it up to 500x500.
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: 'she cried for him." blinds on: August 11, 2005 06:16:43 PM
Do you have a picture of the drawing? I'd love to make something similar. I mean do you have a larger version of your original sketch, or blinds?

David

sorry, no.

Did any of your friends, in the pic, make their dress?  Maybe an odd question.

Nice dress. You're cute in it.

no, i don't think so.

YAY! my first post... anyways you did a VERY good job on the dress... did you have to spend alot on the fabric???

not at all...it was originally like $12 a yard but i got it on clearance for $2.95.

19  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: Prom dress from suiting material on: May 29, 2005 07:06:52 AM
Well, I thought I'd be a little different and make my dress out of grey pin-striped suiting material. I'm not one for shiny, glittery things...so, I kept it simple. Tell me what you think. Thanks!

Wow.. I think the "simplicity" concept you were going for, is what makes it so complex and unique!  It's awesome, and I have never seen a prom dress made with that material...which automatically gives it two thumbs up.

The necklace you chose to wear is also beautiful.. it picks up all of the colors around you.  I think it compliments your dress very well.

What did your shoes look like?
Is that the first dress you have made?  It looks very tailored.  Ha.. no pun intended with the suit material Wink

hey, thanks a lot! i actually wore pink flip flops. my dress was long enough to cover them so most people didn't even know.

Second from left.

This one shows the pin-stripe a bit better. It's pretty light though.
