12  giant I-cord scarf? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by punkrockmom on: December 17, 2006 08:54:01 AM
i have this yarn.  i wanted to knit a different kind of scarf with it.  i have always thought of knitting a HUGE I-cord but they turn out right.  any ideas  or tips?  i never see DPN's larger then 17  any  pattern suggestions  if  i have to scrap the whole i-cord thing? its such a funky yarn that i really  want to show it off but i swear i have knitters burn out.

13  Re: knitting tags/graffiti in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by punkrockmom on: November 14, 2006 12:03:20 PM
the majority of what i knit is charity items see here's some teddy bears for a kids charity called ian's buddybears or stuff for my family.

(oh my daughter snuck in her bear too)
but i thought i'd use up my odd balls and weird fibers i can't use for donation- lots of people have given yarns i cant use or dont want to use for donations things like mohairs.
i'm sure if you knit donations too you know you come across strict guidelines of what you can & cant use due  to allergens & washablity- this way i can get these yarns out of my stash.
thanks for the opinions!

the brand is mode dea, the 'model' is swerve. i get it at Ac moore for $5.99 a skein and need 3 skeins a hat.  i use size 15 needles for the hats.  here's another plain & simple one.

15  fall colored hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by punkrockmom on: October 14, 2006 02:02:23 PM
not too exciting but im waiting for everyone else to get ready for dinner.  here's a hat i finished this week.  it has two big tassels at  the end of i-cords that decrease in width.  and the colors are great for the fall.  not much more knitting this week- i shut my left thumb in the car door Sad

17  knit scarf w/denim accents/reworked new photo! in Knitting: Completed Projects by punkrockmom on: October 03, 2006 09:23:06 AM
maybe i've been watching too much project runway with all the judge's talk of shredded denim, but i made this scarf in hopes of selling it on consignment.  i need to sew the denim pieces in place now.
i took everyone's comments in consideration and came up with this- thanks for the input!!

20  knit or felted hibiscus? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by punkrockmom on: July 10, 2006 02:27:35 PM
anyone see a pattern for a knit or felted hibiscus flower anywhere?  i googled it and found a a pretty bad rendition of a hisbiscus that looked like a circle with some shiney crap in the center. ( my aplogizes to the designer im looking for something more realistic) .  i just dont knwo if its worth trying to design my own.  i want one  to go with surf & turf skirt for my brother's wedding to jazz up the ribbed tank i'll wear, but since i'll knit it in hot pink maybe i should buy a plant...

(gratutious shot of FO!)
