That is fabulous! The fleece holds up really well. The one I made is still in use. Fabulous, now I'm going to hear backpack, backpack all night. Grin

Honestly I think it varies from kid to kid. I would say as a general rule that Dora is BEFORE kindy safe. By the end of that a lot of kids are too "big" for Dora. Even then she would probably still use it at home. Make sure you post so we can check out the back pack. If you think she too big for it go for a monster bag with a bow. Monsters with bows are cool...
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: A Melancholic Dinosaur on: March 25, 2008 07:25:19 AM
I love the story behind the dino, but to be honest I had to comment to appease my little one. She LOVES IT!!!! Great job!

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: baking kit for nieces? on: December 08, 2007 12:27:24 PM
I think that sounds really cute. I don't know how old your nieces are but if they have an easy bake oven I know they have recipes for those mixes online. Also depending on how much you want to spend you might want to check the dollar store for their own little extras like wooden spoons, or cookie cutters etc. I can say that I have three little girls 8 and under and they would LOVE something like that.
8  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Holiday Foodie/Crafty Gift: Meyer Lemon Curd on: December 04, 2007 02:13:32 PM
That is truly wonderful. I need a recipe for lemon curd AND your label is fantastic.  Thanks.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Ugly 80's sweater to mittens, scarf, and slouchy hat on: December 01, 2007 08:05:09 AM
Thanks for the compliments, I have a hard time doing my own thing because i know it won't be perfect. I have perfection issues.  Grin heathersy I love your comment about her because that is her attitude ALL the time she cracks me up. Rishyness I can't wait to see what you come up with Cosby sweaters need love too. The turtleneck on the sweater made the hat super easy. It would totally work on an adult that's why I posted here instead of the kids section.

I entered a contest at http://nannybird.blogspot.com/ She had a contest to reuse for her 100th post. Very cool stuff there anyway this was my entry

I was so pleased I actually managed to make a slouchy hat. I've added a bow to the front since then since my little princess is all about girly things. She's really happy. It was so easy. There's a picture of it before on my blog, I couldn't get that picture to upload here for some reason. I hope you all like it, I think I may make some more sets for the holidays.
