2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Call of Duty on: November 20, 2010 11:06:17 PM
I want to make my fiance some Call of Duty items for Christmas...he LOVES the video game and we are on a very tight budget this year, so I figured some COD home made items would rock his socks

Anyone have any ideas for a call of duty stencil or design? I can't find anything online regardless of what I search.

Anything you come up with would be most appreciated, even if it isn't spot-on COD. I'd really appreciate your help!

adorable! and very well made.

Do you know about what size they would correspond to?

I love how they work for a boy or girl, depending on the fabric and how you embellish them.
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: First body butter! *Now with tutorial* on: August 20, 2010 09:11:50 PM
THANK YOU for the tutorial! This seems so simple, yet I know the recipient would love it!

I am going to be making some for Christmas gifts for my sisters and my mom, as i'll either be SUPERDUPER READY TO POP pregnant at that time, OR i'll have a newborn at home. :-)

Thanks again!
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / how the heck?! on: August 20, 2010 08:08:38 PM
Hi, everyone.

I am currently 5mos pregnant and on bed rest. I thought cross stitch would be a good way to pass some of the days. I have always loved to sew and craft, in general.

I ordered a very modest cross stitch kit in the mail, it said all over the website that it was easy.

When it came, it has the material that you would stitch on, the pattern, thread and needle. But no instructions.

How the heck do I learn how to make those things look like the finished product on the package? Can you suggest a good tutorial for beginners? People say that its easy but I just have no idea how to approach it.

I cant really see a way to copy the image onto the material, i'm not sure if i'm supposed to do that or not.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: second dress ever made on: April 18, 2010 09:05:21 PM
great job! what a cutie! the fun thing about sewing is, once you put the clothes on your little model, you can always improvise and change things around. I'm FOREVER making little adjustments, that's the best way to learn. Trial and error, I guess! have fun as you go! :-)

I am due in Dec (yeah, still quite far away!) and i've been browsing the brand name versions of these and I do NOT want to pay $30+ plus shipping for something that looks like a 1/2 yd of fabric!

Thank u again, I bet ur friend will LOVE it!
