1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Army jacket on: December 10, 2012 10:43:13 PM
Awhile back, my friend's husband gave me one of his old unused military jackets (I think he is Air Force). I removed all the important patches, etc and gave them to him, so now it's just a plain military jacket. I would love to wear it but I'd like to modify it somehow. Any suggestions on mods to a jacket?
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / pegboard ideas on: January 19, 2011 06:23:56 PM
Ok so someone on craigslist is offering 2 BIG pieces of pegboard up for free. I'm the lucky recipient and I have seen ideas but I dunno... I was hoping one pegboard could be for my crafts, the other for my son (for... whatever). I don't know how to go about this though. How do you hang things on a pegboard? Anyone have any craft or kids pegboard ideas to throw at me?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Chart help on: January 06, 2011 09:03:24 PM
So I saw on a blog a beautiful music note blanket. I really really want to make something like this, being a musician myself and one of my best friends is a musician as well. Our bdays are a day apart and I'd love to make matching blankets for us for our bdays. I've never crocheted off a graph/chart and I can just imagine how LONG ti would take to do a graph blanket if it's done in sc.... So, can it be done in a bigger stitch and does anyone have a nice music note graph? Thanks to all!
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / question about 70/30 cotton/polyester on: December 04, 2010 05:45:50 PM
Hi- I am new to the stencil board Smiley. I want to create 2 special hoodies. I found kinda what I'm looking for (blank solid color zip up jacket hoodies) at WalMart. But they are 70/30 c/p. My question is, will this work OK for stenciling? One hoodie will be white, the other black.... the color to go on the white hoodie will be black paint, the color to go on the black hoodie will be white paint. Should I use just regular fabric paint for this? Sorry to ramble/ask so many questions but I want to make sure I do this right Smiley. Thanks all!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Christmas gift ideas for kids, please help! on: November 28, 2010 07:01:52 PM
OK, I am asking for my best friend. She, of course like most of us, is going through money problems. She doesn't think she'll be able to get gifts for anyone. So, I am trying to convince her to let me help her and show her/help her how to handmake gifts. She wants to concentrate on the 4 kids she needs gifts for first. Little girl age 1, little boy age 4, little girl age 4, boy age 12. Can anyone throw me some ideas? I'm going to her house on Wednesday to brainstorm....it'd be nice to have some ideas from the wonderful craftsters out there... I dunno what her abilities are, I can crochet and beginner sewing..... And I am open to really ANY kind of idea! Thanks to all in advance!
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / amigurumi black panther or tiger? on: November 11, 2010 02:37:02 PM
Hi- my husband wants me to make him something called a displacer beast. If you look it up, it looks like a black panther with 2 extra legs and some tentacle type things. I am looking for a black panther pattern or even a tiger pattern. Any help would be much appreciated.... I've spent hours on google looking to no avail!

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / J&T Challenge 2: Bee Tile necklace on: June 16, 2010 02:25:05 PM
So... this is my first... on many levels!! My first piece of jewelry and my first Craftster Challenge entry, ever!! Cheesy I hope everyone likes and I would love some CC! I made it using several pieces from different scrapbook papers. I cut them out with an xacto knife. Glued and sealed using mod podge of course... and then sealed with a spray sealer. Topped off with mosaic tile glue... just to see if it would work better than the other methods used for tile necklaces. The necklace part is hemp cord and the eyelet screw is in a hole on the top that I drilled and I also added some glue for extra hold. I did a bee because I live in Florida and there are always bees in the summertime! I don't remember a Florida summer without having a bee encounter when I was a kid Tongue. And I thought the saying is cute.
