303  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: shelves for my drugs :P on: August 05, 2009 07:26:25 PM

haha i strictly stuck to the 3 polish max... i just spent about $50 last week but i got an amazing deal [around 20 bottles, mostly OPI and china glaze] so i didn't feel too bad about it Tongue

so you guys think there's a way to make our own nail poish? i know there's frankening but that's kind of just mixing some you already have. if there was a cheap way to actuallly make my own i'd do it in a second!

Well there are a few websites with suggestions on how to make nail polish when you google how to make nail polish. This one seems to have potential... http://www.ehow.com/how_4494610_make-nail-polish.html

That is awesome, how do you make it stick in the locker? Magnets? I love it, I'm not in high school anymore and don't have a locker, but I think my sister and niece would love something like this!

I know you guys love nail polish as much as I do, have you heard about the Zoya 5000? If Zoya gets 5000 followers by midnight tonight they will give a code for 3 free bottles of nail polish, who doesn't love free stuff right?

Also this thread inspired me to think about ways to store my polish, I think I would run out of room on the wall eventually, and I have cats who love to jump on shelves, but I found cute nail polish storage/display cases that are clear and hold 60 bottles of polish that I thought would look cute on my dresser at http://transdesign.com/
306  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Break out more Shrinky Dinks; It's earring time. on: July 29, 2009 11:28:25 AM
That's all I've got for now... But I go on craft kicks, I'll probably make like 20 more pair before I realize and then quit for a while and make a stupid amount of some other craft. That's how I ROLL!

So glad to know I'm not the only one like this, it drives my mom crazy that I'll get on a crafting kick with one medium, then switch to another and the previous craft supplies sit aside. She thinks it is wasteful, but I always go back and work on them later.

Your earrings are awesome, I never seem to get the right proportions using shrink plastic

That is adorable, and a great idea. I'm thinking I'll do that on my wall once I have my own place, if I put my jewelry out like that now my sister takes it LOL
