1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Jack Daniel's Lamp (Now with pics)!!!! on: June 15, 2011 05:19:53 PM
I'm curious about the wiring part... you mentioned a kit? I have a great old vintage lamp I fear has a short in the wiring & would love to restore it.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you... work.

I got one lamp kit from walmart and another from Hobby Lobby. Very simple to put together

Great stuff indeed. Wish I had the time to make and decorate more stuff with it!

xx_Kellybean: Dooo It! lol The picture research is the fun part. I have a stock pile folder with ideas for different ones.

Thanks Glitterkick haha. Those are unfortunately retired, but I loved 'em too!

Thanks!

I sealed them with layer upon layer of Mod Podge's Dimensional Magic. Another random find at Hobby Lobby Smiley

I made these months ago and just thought to myself "Wait, you never posted these!" Silly me. I found pre-drilled dominos at Hobby Lobby and had to get them to use.

This was the first on I made. The image was from last October's issue of Game Informer (the BioShock issue). It's actully from the Bioshock article.

My next one I decided to try some tin work. Straightening out an arizona tea can wasnt as easy as I thought it'd be, but it was worth it.

-After I posted the pics on my facebook, friend's started making requests. I've only made two so far. Here they are:

This was for my friend and his blog.

And this one for another... who requested anything Battle Angel Alita.

lovleeleigh, love the natural look on you; sooo cute!!! I haven't had a perm in over 6months but I just pull mine back until I decided what I wanna do with it for the next 6months. lol

Thanks! I learned last year I can't deal with transitioning, so this time I cut like 85% of my hair off. Plus, El Paso's summer heat got to me haha Cheesy Good luck to you!

Thanks for the move... I wasn't sure where to put it.

I'll have to find some new thrift shops to search here (el paso).

Hello all,

I love, love, love overalls, but past a certain age I look like a little kid in them haha. I saw a perfect pair that I want to try in Yes, Man worn by Zooey Deschanel. Of course I can't find them anywhere.

So I was wondering if any of you fine ladies have a pattern to make one, even one made by you to put me in the right direction would be great!!!

9  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cake in a Jar! [lil pic obese] on: September 27, 2010 08:50:14 PM
I got 16oz, wide-mouthed jars from Wal-Mart. Twelve for $8-9. Make sure to get the wide-mouthed ones or you'll have trouble getting the cake out Wink The one's I got are by Kerr and are for home canning.

I sent all 8 to him... I realized that was a mistake because the next day I REALLY wanted one haha. Him and all his buddies said it was delicious though. I haven't gotten around to buying more jarsto make another batch, but soon.

Good luck and post pics when the holidays roll around  Grin
