1  Domino Pendants in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lovleeleigh on: March 22, 2011 02:53:23 PM
I made these months ago and just thought to myself "Wait, you never posted these!" Silly me. I found pre-drilled dominos at Hobby Lobby and had to get them to use.

This was the first on I made. The image was from last October's issue of Game Informer (the BioShock issue). It's actully from the Bioshock article.

My next one I decided to try some tin work. Straightening out an arizona tea can wasnt as easy as I thought it'd be, but it was worth it.

-After I posted the pics on my facebook, friend's started making requests. I've only made two so far. Here they are:

This was for my friend and his blog.

And this one for another... who requested anything Battle Angel Alita.

3  Cake in a Jar! [lil pic obese] in Dessert by lovleeleigh on: September 20, 2010 02:44:47 AM

Well, my hubby is deployed and I wanted to do something special for him so I mailed him a birthday package.

Make sure you wash your mason jars and give them time to dry! I almost forgot, before I started mixing.

Ingredients... just box cake.

One box will fill 8 jars, about half-way. If you put too much it'll rise over the edge and can get messy.
Place on a baking sheet for a little security for 30-40 minutes or until you can pull a toothpick out clean.

To seal, I boiled the lids (the blue utensil is for pulling them out the hot water). One by one I pulled the jars out the oven and put the lids and rings on while still hot (pat off any water). You'll know the jars are sealing when you here a ping. If you can push the middle of the top in, try again.

I forgot packing pics, but I sent them along with Spider-Man plates and napkins, blue plastic utensils, some frosting, a card, and a birthday note (complete with instructions, bc I doubt he could get it out if he wanted to share haha). He got in less than a week and loved it Grin

*There are warnings on this bc of the possiblity of botulism. Breads can grow it bc there's no acidity, I believe, so long time storage isn't recommened, but has been done.

Kinda pic heavy...if I did this right Huh

This was the first time I went bloned...well I guess 2nd ( i went blonde/pink the summer after 9th grade but I have no pics...i was away from parental supervision lol)

And the second time...I actually got it done at a salon for once lol.

I went red twice for a bit...

Unfortunately that didn't last long bc my hair started to break  Sad So I had to cut it off...

Then I gave up on dye...for now bc after it's done growing our, NATURALLY, I'm going a bright natural color red.  Grin

It's grown out a bit and  dont straighten it a lot anymore. When I do thought it's a little above my shoulders.

6  Jack Daniel's Lamp (Now with pics)!!!! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lovleeleigh on: December 14, 2009 02:44:44 PM
This is my first post...with something I actually made!  Grin I'm a bit of a lurker, so I haven't made 10 post yet. Until then, forgive the lackage of actual pictures.

I had a couple of 1.75 liter Jack Daniel bottles laying around and we needed extra lighting in our living room, so I making lamps!

There are most of the supplies I used. The bottle, lampshade, and drill. The bits I used I bought at Sears; they're a glass and tile set with tungsten carbide tips. It took about 15-20 minutes to drill through the glass.

The glass beads I got from good ol' Hobby Lobby (oh, and the lamp kit, which is hot-glued on there. teehee). I used about 3 bags to fill it up; 1.5 black, 1.5 clear.

I have yet to make the twin for the other side, so maybe I'll get some step by step pics with that one!

So tell me what you think or ask any questions!!! ^_^
