2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Hexagon Bag on: May 08, 2009 06:23:59 AM
Hi there:

i started to make a hexagon afghan, but have hit a somewhat major sticking point. I was wondering if anyone has sewn hexagons into a bag shape like:

Is it possible you think?

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Star Blanket pattern on: October 31, 2007 09:11:40 AM
Hi all:

A loooong time ago on here there was a rival star blanket pattern to that little red, white, and blue star. It worked up more like a granny square. I used to have that pattern, but now I've lost it!

Does anyone have it - remember it?  I search through craftster with no luck. I promised one to my friend who's having a baby! Ahhh!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Lacey collar and cuffs on: July 25, 2007 09:53:14 PM
Hey there:
I really want to adorn my roller derby uniform with a crochet collar and cuffs. The team's theme is WWII, Rosie the Riveter style. I've already checked out the usual haunts - crochetpatterncentral and whatnot, but haven't found anything that thrills me. Anyone have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction?

Yeah, I'm not such a fan of the fingering yarn.  I'm usually a really tight crocheter.

Have you started? It's harder than I thought it would be...I'm only three rows in so far. I picked up a fingering weight yarn like the pattern calls for, but I think it would be better with something a little heavier.

I'd love to join this CAL!  I want to make this for a friend's birthday - its PERFECT for her, and her bday is in August, so this is perfect timing...

I too, await payday.

What yarn ya gonna get?

Thanks for your kind words!  I can't wait to see it done too! Hopefully, I'll have some more progress to post soon...the weatehr has been cold and rainy so it's excellent crochet weather.

It is a little psychedelic...I didn't really notice that before. I have a few hex's with this nuclear, neon pink. I may try to use it a bit more sparingly Wink

Looking forward to seeing other blankets!
