2  I've Been Real Busy and Still Going in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Paradise Designs on: January 04, 2010 11:38:57 AM
I have been on a huge sewing/creating kick!! I am starting to even steer away from store bought patterns and creating my own. Hope you enjoy!

This is a hooded dress that is my own pattern. It zips down the front and has a lined hood.

The is a black and white polka dot skirt with netting.

This is a grey pencil skirt with a red cross appliqued on the side.

I love this one! It is the same style skirt as the polka dot one but a bit shorter. It is black with red metallic hearts!!

Hope you enjoy! C &C Welcome!
BTW Yes I am a bit crazy standing outside in the snow taking pics. Hubby is a photographer and wanted to take some shots!

3  I went from sunshine to rocker chick in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Paradise Designs on: November 23, 2009 01:49:55 PM
When I married my husband in July I had long blonde hair and my nickname was Sunshine. Hubby is bald and got tattoos and a definete rocker. Well his style has rubbed off on me. I cut 12 inches off my hair dyed it black with red chunky highlights got a major tattoo on my chest, pierced my eyebrow and changed my clothing style. Here are a few recons I made to match my new style. Hope you enjoy them!

The first is a blue rock n roll never dies top that was a little boys tee. I added part of a grey tee and navy rib knit. The halter pieces are the guitars that went down the sleeves of the tee before recon.

The second was also a little boys tee. It is a grey paint splattered tee with a skull. I made it into a halter neck, added eyelet lace to the sides and put elastic in the back to cinch it in! This is a definete fav!!!

6  What do you do when your broke and it's your daughter's birthday in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Paradise Designs on: August 20, 2009 01:04:15 PM
My daughter turned 12 today and Dh and I are in a poor financial state at the moment. So hence we don't have any money for birthday presents for sweetness. So with the help of our local community clothes closet where I got this denim blazer/jacket, the star fabric and some fabric from my stash, we have a present for her. DD loves stars so this worked out perfectly! I appliqued 3 stars to the back of the jacket, then used the star fabric to make her a messenger bag. Im still planning on making a few other things to complete the set, but this is whats done so far!!

7  Wedding Day Corset in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Paradise Designs on: July 24, 2009 12:38:17 PM
So here's how it goes. Fiancee and I were planning a Labor Day weekend rocker wedding. Due to the fact that we have 5 kids and a tight budget it was looking like it wasn't going to happen. Yesterday in the midst of moving, he calls and asked me to pick him up from work to run an errand with him. Said he had to drop papers off at the courthouse. Much to my surprise, we were going to get a marriage license and he had arranged for us to be married at our favorite park in 2 hours!! I was so surprised that I was shaking and about to kill him because there I was standing there in a tank, jeans and ball cap! So off I went to get myself and 5 kids ready! A few weeks ago, he had given me a suit jacket that matched a vest he wears, so I used pieces of it to make a corset. So thats what we wore. Now we are married and did it looking totally hot if I may say so myself!!
