1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / 1 Up felted Mario Scarf on: May 12, 2010 03:02:20 PM
I was part of the Mario swap recently and I made this scarf for my partner WhiteSheep!

I had a lot of fun felting it and I actually used a new technique called Artfelt. It involves punching the roving into a paper and then throwing the whole thing into the dryer to felt up.

And a close up of the mushroom:

I hope you like it, Enjoy!

I haven't cross-stitched since I was really young but I really wanted to try this pattern. Next I am going to do Cloud.

I really enjoyed stitching this! I don't know exactly what I should do with it. Magnet? Frame it? Incorparate it into a sewn item? Any ideas?

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Kon - From the anime Bleach on: March 12, 2010 10:20:26 AM
For an upcoming convention I am dressing up as Rukia from Bleach. As with all my Halloween or convention costumes I have to accessorize with plushies or other hand made things. For Rukia, I crocheted Kon.

Here he is full view. He measures 12" tall.

Close up of his face. His mouth opens and closes and I can fit a marble in it, or a spirit bead. =)

While I was making him I had a hard time figuring out how I was going to do his mane and his claws and I finally decided on felt.

Here is a reference photo of Kon in the anime.

Comments and critique welcome, thank you for looking!  Grin

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on: July 23, 2009 08:37:17 PM
Hello! I just recently found Craftster and wow this place is huge! I thought I would share my boys with everyone.

First off let me explain that while I am in my twenties, I have never out grown cartoons. And THIS cartoon is my fav. TMNT.

All the boys lined up and with their weapons.

I LOVE Splinter, the set isn't complete without him.

Everyone from the back so you can see their awesome shells and more weapons in Leonardo's case.

It took me about a week to finish all these guys, and then another to figure out how to make the weapons and clothing but it was too much fun. I like the green yarn I used because it varigated ever so slightly so they all kinda have different green tones to them. I like adding clothes and weapons to my ami's.
