1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Liam's Loops. on: September 16, 2009 12:02:59 PM

Once I designed a hat and was SOOOOOO proud of my self. Grin I submitted it to a knitting mag. Then I found out that someone had already done this! 90% the same. The same color and all! And I felt soooooo embarrassed! Embarrassed

today I got rejected and felt relieved!  Cheesy

Well, the higher you are, the harder you fall.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 4 euro fleemarket jeans recon. on: September 11, 2009 09:22:36 AM
I made my flared jeans skinny leg by using this perfectly good recon tute.

You wanna do this?! OK, then...
You'll need a pair of jeans, sewing machine and bleach.

here they are then.

TIP OF THE DAY: If your ass is as unfortunate as mine, and it looks big, no matter what you do, cut out the back pockets of your jeans, and sew them 2 inch lower  Wink that will do the trick. It covers the wrinkles that usually are under your bumms.

Apply the bleach any where you want the jeans to get lighter. Be careful, it will bleach anything it touches! Oh, and use rubber gloves!

Let the bleach be over night, rinse and was separately in a washing machine.

5  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 42 ENTRIES / Wedding night - something extra on: September 05, 2009 07:09:32 AM
So this is my entry. A neck corset and a corset!.

Made out of 2 place mats one palstic and one of brocade satin-style a' 50 c,
Shoelaces 67 c, and some ring staples 75 c /bag of 50.

I started of by taking the measurements of my neck, taped a slice of plastic bag around my neck, and cut it in 8 pieces, and drawing a pattern of it. Cut the fabric double and sew pieces together.
Cut the plastic placemat into bones, sew them in.
Make holes in the end and pressin the staples in place. Insert the laces and use!

I made the corset in same fashion, using 3 placemats and a couple of shoelaces.

9  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 41 ENTRIES / Noodles goes Noro on: August 05, 2009 06:58:18 AM
My noodles went Noro (every knitter and crocheteer knows what Noro is, right?)

It's 100% edible. Yarn: cooked tricolor spagethi. Needles: uncooked spagethi and flour and water mix as the ends. And some sugar water.

I've always wondered if this can be done, so I decided to give it a try. Well, it gouldn't.
I started by boiling the tricolor spagethi and cooling it down. I tried to knit it. I tried to knit it with olive oil, that didn't help. And as the spagethi cooled more, it started to get sticky and break. So, to plan B:

I had to croghet the stitches one column at the time.
then I boiled some sugar and water to a thick mix and brushed it on the pasta. I let it cool of and set in the fridge over night and then cut off the spagethi on the side.

That's how I done it.

Please kids, don't play with food!
