Do you think you saw the published one a while back, and remembered the design (but not that you'd seen it before) when you went to make yours, or is it a complete coincidence?

It's possible that I've seen a picture of it, but even then it's been in my subconscious. I had never seen the pattern before, the "original" was self published in a blog.

And this one was funny because I just sat on my sofa with needles and yarn and it sort of just happend to become a hat with a twist. I thought it looked cool and different so I designed the mittens to go with it...

And just for the record, I still think it looks good Smiley And my version has a few "things" that makes it special, it's that on my hat, every other cable ends with a loop, and the decreases are hidden in the loops.

This blue on is the one that I knitted first. You can see the loops.

And on the mittens the thumb "comes out" of a cable twist. So if you really think about it, they are not that similar after all Wink

Once I designed a hat and was SOOOOOO proud of my self. Grin I submitted it to a knitting mag. Then I found out that someone had already done this! 90% the same. The same color and all! And I felt soooooo embarrassed! Embarrassed

today I got rejected and felt relieved!  Cheesy

Well, the higher you are, the harder you fall.

I've made one.
I just wrapped plastic foil around my waist and the area were the corset was going to bee. Then a couple of rounds of duck tape and then I cut the whole thing of me (cut a straight line between breasts down) There you got the pattern!
Cut the whole thing into two from the back also, take the better looking side and cut that into 4-6 pieces.

My corset is here.

I love these!

You're so gifted! I wish I could pull off something like that! I have a over sized Moonspell tee that is in desperate need of some pimping...
