2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: T-shirt Bra *added tutorial* on: May 04, 2005 04:43:03 PM
this bra idear is suuuweeeet!

i may have to try this....and the undies.  yours are super cute.  love the green (my fave color!)!

taloola

Mine too!! You know, if you couldn't already tell that from the walls, undies, and belly  button ring...

Anyways, the seam allowance was just the normal 1/4". I used a knit shirt.. I think. It was just a plain Hanes kinda one.

It make an underwear set out of one t-shirt, I always cut up the sides and sleeves first so that I have one big piece of fabric. I can fit all of the bra pieces on the front, the front and back of the undies on the back, and the 2 crotch pieces from the sleeves.

Hope that helps!!

im confused about the littly thing in the middle. how do you sew it on? handsewn?

I just pinned it on and sewed it on top of the seam that I made when I sewed the two tubes together. You could handsew it, though. Whatevs Grin

Haha not really- not the hands out the weird sticky-out hip bones. Thanks though.

Shocked That's so weird! My boyfriend made me a clock out of a vintage picture for Christmas, and they had the exact same hands in silver. Where did you find them?
