51  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: glitter lol on: August 02, 2010 06:39:00 AM
I'm not allowed to use glitter. The cat WILL decide to jump up on the table. Then the cat WILL decide he needs to run across the table. The cat will then become a glittery mess and spread it around the house, and my mom WILL kill me. So glitter is a no no for me.

I am going to go make one for my cat! It's adorable!
53  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Proven Home Remedies for Craft Injuries - Natural Result of "Crafty But Stup on: July 27, 2010 08:41:58 AM
Someone mentioned icthamol, which is a staple in my house. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have any fish in it. i was told it has tar, but as I'm not at home right now, I can't check. But when I get home I will. I have used it for as long as I can remember and it's amazing. It will draw almost anything out: splinters, infection. just put on a dab, cover with a band-aid, and leave for the day, or overnight. Note: if you value your sheets, cover the band-aid with something else (I have a special sock for all my foot injuries). It's messy and stains, but it works. It also goes by the name of Black sab/salve, or Drawing Sab/Salve.
54  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Movie Ticket Ideas? on: July 26, 2010 08:28:31 PM
Well I have a scrapbook with all my movie tickets, show tickets, and tickets to parks I've gone to. But you could make some wall art. Or a dvd shelf with the tickets covering it. Or maybe just a box to keep trinkets in.

So I totally didn't know about using nail polish remover to get super glue off. I always glue my fingers together and I usually just rip them apart. It hurts, I'm not doing that ever again.

Hmm...I like your idea. I'll definitely keep it in mind. Thanks!
58  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions for making a costume out of my prom dress on: June 30, 2010 03:44:06 PM
So really want to make a Halloween costume out of my prom dress, but I don't know what. I don't really want to do much to the actual dress, if anything at all. And Prom queen and princess are too obvious. I was think butterfly or fairy, but they seem obvious too. I would appreciate any suggestions you have. Here's the link to see the dress: [url]http://i926.photobucket.com/albums/ad104/Ink_A_Dink/DSC03284.jpg/[url]
