1  Embroidered Wedding Gift in Needlework: Completed Projects by Xugardust on: May 11, 2010 11:43:58 PM

This is a great example of what got me started embroidering.  My partner leaves these sorts of cartoons lying all around the house or on his studio floor, and I thought they would be perfect embroidered on something.  They make a great, if surprising gift - for the right person.

3  Skull Dinner Napkins in Needlework: Completed Projects by Xugardust on: July 26, 2009 01:54:50 PM

They are stem stitch and satin stitch, with a few french knots and some running stitch thrown in.  They took me about a day each.

4  Embroidery Newbie in Needlework: Completed Projects by Xugardust on: July 19, 2009 09:21:03 AM
I started embroidering last spring, out of a driving need to do something different with my life, and have become obsessed.  Mostly I trace my partner's cartoons and drawings, and have done a lot of baby clothes for my nephew, born in June.
