1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / tree people on: December 19, 2010 02:16:48 PM
 some time ago I made this tree fellow /  treant ( one with the bird on top) and recently decided to take him out of hiding and sell him and then i was inspired to make a new one ( so that if he sells well, i can have another to sell) Also i made a small stump, but i am not satisfied with her coloring yetor her eyes and i have plans to make a sapling growing from the center of her rings on top .. inspired by a picture i took .I haven't figured that part out yet. I might just scratch that one and  make a new one

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / sock kitty full of rice on: April 14, 2010 03:50:11 PM
 I used a tutorial at instructables, it's full of rice so it can be microwaved and used like a heating pad or w/e . I just like how it feels being full of rice.
 shame that it smells like rice ..
 here is link to tutorial i used
http://www.instructables.com/id/Microwaveable-Sock-Creature/
and here is the picture of the sock kitty Smiley

I'm sure i will be changing the eyes later on since i didn't do a very good job.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Dead fairy on: April 08, 2010 07:51:57 AM
  poor poor fairy. I am not sure how she died.. perhaps she was out gathering seeds or berries and ate a poisonous one? nah I think fairies ought to know which are poison. Perhaps a bird killed her. There are some large black birds that hang out in a tall pine tree which is just a couple feet away from the umbrella tree i found her in.

 *If she were something i made and Not a Real fairy.. This is the tutorial i would have been inspired by but  wouldn't have done much of what it said after attempt 1 had failed... Wink

 It was a Wist swap so everything is either a remake of or inspired by something from her list.

remake of

inspired by

and

 mini version of
 a labyrinth worm someoen here at crafster made. can't find it now and it's off her wist but i'm sure some of you have seen it already.

 okay on to the thing i have come to show you.
 It's the labyrinth worm.. think his name is william? idk ppl call it the labyrinth worm hehe made him very tiny for my swap partner, he's in her wist ..I didn't knwo what size to make but small seems to have gone well.

 the bottle he's in  is 1 1/2 inches tall not including the cork.

here he is again after i remembered he needed a scarf hehe

the only bad thing is that he won't stand upright on hiw own so he needs to be in a container  or on a base. I'm not sure exactly how I'll have him when i send him out.. or maybe i will find the courage to try and make him again !
it was a pain in the butt and i'll tell you why
his hair is made from thread that i pulled apart to make it thinner and then used an eyebrow brush thing to make it soft and fluffyishand i used superglue to attack it which i think might have been a bad idea.I think i could have added the hair differently that could have made it take less time and be less stressful.
 I almost made 2 to make into earrings but  the second one broke in half when i was painting it. I really should have waited till it was completly cooled.Hmm this one could be a necklace charm ! oo.. I'll think about that.
 anywho let me know what you think.
 Also you can tell me what size you think this should count as.. it's a 5 point swap and i'm not sure how many points i should assign to this lil dude, I'll prob end up going over in points  anyway but  you'r opinions are wanted anyways Smiley
~~~update/new pics~~~
first pic is from cellphone. didnt get any really great shots of the worms becauae camera was dying. forgot to take more pics after it was charged before i packed them up
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / feather hair clip thingy on: February 23, 2010 09:22:08 AM
 I saw a feather headband on someone's wist and was like " i can make that" and so i did.. except the feathers i used aren't fancy or anything, just black. and i used a part of a clip on earring that used to be my grandma's.. the clip part was missing.
I may put it on a headband  or just keep it like it is, using a hair pin to attach it to my head Smiley
 was fairly simple to make.. but i think i would do things differently next time.
 I glued the feathers on a peice of felt and then i sewed them on because i wasn't trusting they'd stay. the earring bit i put there because i didn't know how it'd look after the glue dried and i just don't have the patience to wait and see Tongue
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Altered Tin for tooth (fairy) on: February 19, 2010 12:38:29 PM
 Hi  Grin
 My daughter has 2 loose teeth! soon she'll lose a baby tooth for the very first time!!
 Naturally I wanted to make something to leave her offering to the toothfairy in And for the toothfairy to leave her offering in ( think it's going to be money .. unless she gets ahold of a fairy coin.
 This tin Was a Camel's Snus tin. it;s smaller than altoid about 31/2 by 2 in actually...
I got them free from some gas station back hen i was a smoker .Anywho .. i don't use snus stuff but kept the tins for craftiness. I'm probably not completly done with it.
 alright already .. I'll show the pictures
here is link to gallery ( i think) to see WIP pics http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showgallery.php?ppuser=18555&cat=500
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Treant on: December 16, 2009 07:34:39 AM
 Hi Cheesy
I found my clay ! it was missing, because it got packed away during a move But i finally found it and made a treant Cheesy
 and a little bird. I put some wire feet on the bird so they can be opened and closed to fit on different spots of the  tree dude.
 I haven't made anything decent in forever but i am kinda happy with how he came out. oh yeah, there is a fairy in the pics too, She isn't staying with him because i gave her to my daughter.
