I've added googly eyes to the plush owl ,  sewed the wings in , one is holding a little sign . and i added feet.



to the book, i added a couple pages.
 





the heart actually spins. it has a transparent nylon thread glued in between 2 heart cut uts and  glued in between pages . twist the heart a few times and lay it down . when the page gets turned the heart spins. fun stuff hehe

 yay so i have these genesis heat-set artist oils  and i've really only used them for my polymer clay sculptures but yesterday i decided top try them out on something else.cardboard.
 originally i wanted to make a cherry blossom tree but I guess the painting had other plans .

my mom is into owls this year hehe
 SO i  got out some of my shells and made her one. I know it's not totally awesome, but i think she'll like it.
 I might stick a  magnet on the back


next up is a owl. I stiched one wing down at it's side and the other a little over it's chest .. maybe i'll have it hold soemthing. I got the pattern for this own in the toys & play things  section and showed it off there and the link to the thread where the  pattern was given




and this book is a work in progress . running out of time  with still much book to fill. might end up making a drawer or cubby hole in the  second half.
i didn't intend for it to be scrapbooky but it ended up that way. i had just found so many free paper patterns and printed till i ran out of ink lolk
 not sure if i will cover the outside or not. if it's going to have a secret hole.. best not to  bring attention to itself.

 She doesnt get to see my daughter too much and  she's growing up so fast.. so i put in pictures of her at different stages in life.


 the flower petals are actually dried out sunflower petals. nice and soft n smooth








 any new ideas of what to add to the book are welcome.
 so are other owl crafts.

 the material used is from an old pillow case. He doesnt have feet because the material would b  too thin and it'd be all weird.
 was going to use felt but it was way too white and would stick out liek a sore thumb.
 

 my mom's latest interest is in owls so for moms day i made her this  and i made a owl out of seashells and i am working on an altered book that's kind of scrapbooky at the moment.

no editting was done.. that's the fly's real color. looks even more vibrant with own eyes at a distance.

 did you know these little things had yellow parts in their petals?

ok so i was  inhspired to take a picture of my own fairy door and post it
 mine was made with  some cheap block of white sculpey i had gotten at walmart.. don't know if the clay was just not good or if it's always that way but that stuff .. everything i made with it was very fragile.. easily broken.
 the back of this doorway cracked  pretty fast.

 Anyway here is the fairy door pics

 the stones were mostly from those lil stands in theme parks or tourist gasstation shops where you can  fill a small bag for   whatever their cost is.

 this is a teeny little flower i found in my grass. It's smaller than my pinky fingernail.
