141  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Easy t-shirt reconstruction, I need to girlie up some shirts???? on: February 23, 2005 07:38:11 AM
OK , I have read just about every post and searched google (I may have just missed it), but I need an easy tutorial for girlie-ing up some concert shirts. I want to make them like cap sleeved, a little off the shoulder. I guess what I want to know if where to cut the neck off at (I think I can figure out how to sew it), I am a little scarred to start hacking away at a shirt. Any help would be great!
142  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / I need a map of western Europe on: February 16, 2005 09:22:05 AM
I have looked all over the internet and I can not find a good one. My hubby is getting ready to go on a month long trip on tour with a band and I wanted to have a map that I could show our son (who is three) were daddy is each day. I need one that isnt too detailed and that really only has to show Norway, Germany, UK, Sweeden, and Belguim. If anyone knows were I could find one, let me know!
Thanks a bunch!

It holds 36 hooks (I dont think I will ever have 36 hooks, I got a little carried away).
144  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Decopauged desk set with mulberry paper! on: February 10, 2005 07:54:43 PM
bought this bag of scrap pieces of mulberry paper (that is what the package said it was called) because I just new I could do something with it and here is what I did:

That was a cheap plastic set of desk accessories (pencil cup, post-it holder, business card holder, paper clip holder) , I spray painted them black and then used modge-podge and decopauged all over them.

What you think?
145  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Yeah for Chunky yarn! on: January 26, 2005 06:45:20 PM
I made this baby blanket in just a few hours using lion brand chunky yarn. There was a free pattern at the craft store and I just modified it slightly!

148  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Round 3/4 inch sticker/labels 1000's, rainbow of colors! What can I do???? on: January 11, 2005 10:37:45 AM
I was cleaning out my desk at work, the lady I replaced worked here for 14 years and I dont think she ever threw anything away. So I found 100's of sheets of round 3/4" stickers or labels (back from the days before ink jet labels). Any ideas? I am thinking about decopauging them on this little wooden step stool I have and I saw another post where someone made garland out of similar stickers (stick them back to back with thread or fishing line in between).
Any other ideas?

150  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Science fair idea,suggestions? on: January 07, 2005 07:50:10 AM
OK, my son wants to do Tornados for his science fair project. I have this idea in my head of using poly-fill and hairspray (maybe a little gray spray paint). Forming the poly-fill in the shape of a tornado (around a paper cone) and using hair spray to stiffen it. Does anyone think that will work? Or any other ideas?
