42  Re: fill a purse round 3 gallery in The Swap Gallery by Jennickell on: May 05, 2008 07:51:02 PM
I got the best package from Amastra today, I am just blown away

This awesome felted bag, that she added to the back the name of my favorite norwegian rock band Turbonegro, it has these awesome anchor buttons, it is a perfect size bag for me.

This beautiful hand crocheted shawl

And a whole mess of awesome goodies:
A bunch of candy (all the salt flavored candy that my boys are working up to being brave enough to try), but my boys loved the kinder eggs.
2 CD's, one is Turbonegro
This container of hand wipes with a crocheted coozie (that is perfect for me cause I have two very messy boys and always need wipes in my purse)
a wallet with skull fabric and some buttons on it
2 skull patches, a crochet hook, and I think I am missing something.
But this is honestly the best swap package I have ever gotten!
A++++++++, YOU ROCK!!!!

43  Re: Button Hoarder / I Love BUTTONS Swap ? in New Swap Theme Ideas by Jennickell on: April 24, 2008 09:15:01 AM
I bought this HUGE tub of buttons like 3 years ago and an estate sale (which BTW is a great place to find buttons and lots of old sewing stuff) and I bont think I have even made a dent in it yet. But everytime I think to myself "I should really get rid of some of these" I just cant.
I made these a while back

I sewed the buttons onto a peice of plastic canvas and then trimmed around it.

Here is a pic of one of the iris in my yard after a heavy downpour yesterday.

I just thought it looked pretty, thought I would share some flowery goodness.

I'm here,
here is a pic I took last night of a truck that I just thought was funny

I guess that Bimbo is actually a popular snake cake brand in Europe.
But it still made me chuckle

48  Re: Black painted walls.... yes black!! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Jennickell on: April 15, 2008 09:29:06 AM
here is a pic of my black and white bedroom

I think my white book case headboard would look great against a black wall, so I am really, really thinking about it.

50  My first machine applique! A tote bag for Madi! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jennickell on: April 03, 2008 06:49:02 PM
Well this is my first attempt at machine applique, this is just a plain canvas tote bag, I appliqued the letters onto a piece of fabric (incase a messed up) and then appliqued that onto the bag,  I added some ribbon to the top.
I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt (Madi is my step-baby who spends a couple nights a week with us, this is her overnight bag)

and a close up
