122  Wind chime/Sun Catcher made from beach glass in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by Jennickell on: November 12, 2005 02:15:45 PM
It is an unseasonably warm day today in Oklahoma (about 85 right now). So my sons and I drove out to the lake to walk around, feed the ducks, etc. We found lots of pieces of broken glass on the beach that had been tumbled smooth. We took them home, washed them up and made this:

I wrapped the pieces in colored wire, strung them on jute, and tied the strings around a piece of wood. It looks really neat when the hits it.

126  The punk rock christmas tree skirt! in Winter Holidays by Jennickell on: September 30, 2005 11:18:41 AM
May I present:
The Punk Rock Tree Skirt
My hubby and boys all just love skulls, so it is kinda hard to incorportate skulls into christmas. But here is what I came up with.

Close up of a skull

It is all made with felt, each piece was hand sewn on, all the sequins on the trees are all hand sewn as all the details on the skulls as well.
Let me know what you think!

127  Re: Please post your best costume... in Halloween Costumes by Jennickell on: September 22, 2005 06:29:16 AM
OK, these are from all the way back in 1999, my son was 4, Kiss was doing there final final fairwell tour. He was Gene Simmons for Hallween, then the following January there was a Kiss look a like contest at the mall. Somehow we still had everything he wore from Halloween. He won first place for the best looking Gene and first place overall. The prize, a giant Paul Stanley bust. It was a lot of fun
(the pics are pictures I took of the page in my scrap book, so they are not the best, but you get the idea)

130  My stitch book, my mind was on vacation mode in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Jennickell on: August 10, 2005 05:50:26 PM
I am on vacation starting tomorrow for a few days and I was just not wanting to do work at work, so I made this:

I copy and pasted some stitches from different crochet sites, printed them all out on card stock, covered in clear contact paper and there you have it.
(I had seen a sprial bound stitch book at the book store, but it was like $30, I think mine is just as good)
