1  Dr. Who Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by Proper_Boogie on: June 14, 2010 08:51:28 AM
This is the first completed project I've posted here, and what better way to start off than by posting my 4th Doctor Scarf of (Quite Cuddly) Death?

All told it's about twenty feet long, and took nine weeks and two days to complete. The yarn is mostly Vanna's Choice acrylic, but there's also some Patons wool and even some plain old Red Heart acrylic in there. Finding all the right colors was the hardest part of this project, and I'm still not totally happy with a few of my color choices, but I think it turned out great regardless. The scarf is knit entirely in garter stitch, and a whopping 71,576 stitches went into this beast.

Nice face, huh? Sorry about the quality; it's hard taking pictures of yourself. In this picture I have it wrapped twice around my neck, and it still trails the ground on both sides. (Fun Fact: I am 4'10". This scarf is more than four times my height.)

Hanging up in my kitchen. (Please ignore the mess; I live with pigs.)
