1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pokemon Hoodie on: January 29, 2011 09:31:44 PM
Wow! After about a month of trying to make my own hoodie I finally succeeded!

Being one that is obsessed with world of pokemon, I decided to make what is known as a Gijinka or anthropomorphic hoodie based upon this little guy:

It is number 360 - Wynaut, the pre-evolution of Wobboffet. I chose it because its shape and form seemed the most "hoodie-like" to me.

After lots of errors, fixes and reimagining, I finished it:

This entire sweatshirt was made of anti-Pill fleece. I embroidered the face on using my sewing machine. I would have loved to find a brighter blue fabric as well as found some way to reshape the fabric to give it a rounder look. Overall, I really enjoyed this and cant wait to start up on my next project!
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: baby luigi! (pic chubby) on: September 25, 2009 07:48:45 AM
This is so incredibly well made!!!!

I'm still fascinated by the hair and I've always had difficulty doing this like that! How did you do it?

Honestly, I feel like this is impeccable! Great work! So Jealous!

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Ponyo! Rehash (Pic Heavy) on: August 18, 2009 06:41:04 PM
I am so much happier with this result! I've added a mouth to it as well to create the cartoonish-ness of the character!

I love it! Espeon is one of my favorite Pokemon!

Thanks! I like the nose idea. And I'm unfamiliar with rooting. Do you know where I could read about it?
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Ponyo! Rehash (Pic Heavy) on: August 17, 2009 09:46:20 PM
Okay! After a long rehashing of my old Ponyo, I've come up with a much more aesthetically pleasing result and am much happier with it!

This is the result of actually taking the time out to create hair.

Here is another pose. Please don't mind my messy desk!!

This was the original...eh.

This is the reference picture I used.

Please give comments and critique. I'm so much happier with this version. For the moment, i've replaced the eyes with foam pieces, but will soon replace them with felt.
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / "Nestor Lochland" on: August 16, 2009 07:55:00 PM
This is my latest amigurumi project. I've certainly learned to hone my skills and it's not nearly as rough around the edges as other projects I've done!

I used a pattern from the book, Cute Little Animals. I made it slightly bigger by using a size I afghan hook, because I love larger versions of my projects!
