12  reconstructed sewing basket in Completed Projects by tantrum on: December 30, 2005 05:06:54 PM
Hi. I wanted to show y'all the sewing basket i reconstructed for my sister for christmas. We agreed to exchange gifts with a sideshow-carnival theme.
Here's what it looked like before

and the ugly inside

And after ripping apart embrodering and stenciling and trying to figure out how to put it back together

and the inside

I'm kind of proud of it, although i would give myself more time to figure out how to put all back together if i did it again.

16  Teen witch in Stenciling: Completed Projects by tantrum on: November 18, 2005 10:11:21 AM
I made this for my friend jenny who loves teen witch and has probably seen it at least 30 times.
Oh, wait... what's that below the stencil? Did Robin Lively, who plays Louise, sign that shirt to Jenny? Is Jenny going to pee her pants when i send this, and the picture i got with Robin Lively when she came to the midnight showing of Teen witch, to her?
My sources say yes.

17  holes are hard to swallow. in Needlework: Completed Projects by tantrum on: September 30, 2005 08:13:57 PM
I got a whole in one of my favorite sweaters. So i fixed it. I might even like it better now.

I cut the swallow shap out of felt, covered the hole and embroidered.

 and a close up

I'm pretty proud, this is the longest embroidery project so far for me.

18  western bank tee in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tantrum on: August 18, 2005 09:55:38 PM
deniem cowboy shirt + sports team t-shirt.

I was trying to figure out what an easy but good looking way to put a dollarsign on the back would be. I didn't want to stencil it 'cause i think the ink wouldn't take evenly on all 3 surfaces. What do you all think?

19  bullshirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tantrum on: August 18, 2005 08:45:30 PM
I guess this is really more embellished than reconstructed. I took a lee cowboy shirt, appliqued an image from another shirt to it and embroidered flowers and a butterfly a la Ferdinand the Bull.

20  old crow in Needlework: Completed Projects by tantrum on: July 05, 2005 10:28:50 PM
since  i'm a fan of the band and the bourbon i embroidered this on my sweatshirt.

it's the biggest embroidery project i've done yet. I'm not completly happy with it but it gave me a chance to try some new-to-me stitches.
