i have no idea what cdhm is. Smiley

Yeah.... helps if I get the link right... I "work" for them (unpaid weekly blogging)... and I still forget that it's .org, not .com.  Link is fixed.  Check it out.  You have to join the forum for a real look, but they're a very supportive and helpful group for dollhouse (and other scale) minis.

lol! i was wondering what that site had to do with miniatures and dollhouse stuff :-P I'll check it out thanks!

and thanks everyone. Smiley I can't wait to share more with you all!

Hi there! I've been lurking every now and then for a while now. I have gotten so much inspiration just by looking at everyone's finished works! So cool! Smiley Now, I want to share mine and hope others can be inspired as well.

I started making miniatures in Spring of 2009 but didn't actually get serious about it until winter of 2009/2010 when I started experimenting and making lots of different minis, not so good ones too.  =) Now I absolutely love making mini foods and things. Hope you enjoy! Smiley

My next mini display ever...making Easter cookies. I made the little cookie cutter too.

I also made this since it was around Easter. I was inspired =) I made everything myself except the grass.

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: making 1:12 scale miniatures and measuring? on: August 25, 2009 12:17:34 PM
thanks a lot Diane! Smiley appreciate the info. I guess I won't worry too much about size right now since I am only making these for myself or my closest friends and family. Smiley I'll worry about sizing once I figure out where I want to go with this. I love making magnets and earrings so far. We'll see. Thanks again Wink
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / making 1:12 scale miniatures and measuring? on: August 24, 2009 11:59:09 AM
Hi. I am quite new to polymer clay and to this site. I started working with it in April/May of this year. I am loving it so far. I make miniatures mostly. Up until now I have been eye balling them and not really measuring in 1:12 scale. But I really want to now. I have read on glassattic about it. I looked under miniatures but it didn't say much about it or go into detail about it unless I missed something. Smiley I am just confused I guess. Do I really have to go around measuring everything? Like if I wanted to make a miniature chocolate cake, would I have to make one and measure it and then make it in miniature? Just an example. How do you measure? How would you measure things that you don't have if you want to make them in miniature? Do I just take a wild guess? Just need some clarification I guess. I eventually want to start selling my miniatures around here so I need all the practice I can get. Thanks Smiley

Sorry if this has been asked already. I tried searching for such a topic but couldn't find anything. Smiley

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: More Stitch Markers on: August 17, 2009 02:14:25 PM
i was looking up cold porcelain last night on google. it sounds very complicated but cool. Just so many ingredients and i'm not sure if i can get some of it around here. =) i'd love to be able to make it though to make miniature plates and bowls since it dries differently than other clays and does not need to be baked like polymer clay. perhaps someday i'll get into it =) I just started using polymer clay though. 6-7 months ago. I like your christmas stitch markers! very cute =)
