15  Book pillow for reading in comfort! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Giddiup222 on: February 02, 2011 08:25:51 PM
I made this for my sister for Christmas. She said she wanted european - romantic fabric. So I went with this... and I sewed pearls around the outside. I made a slot for highlighters on one side and post-its on the other. There's adjustable lace straps to hold the book in place and a fabric covered elastic band in the middle to keep the book from shifting.
And best part... My sister loved it  Cheesy

16  ELVIS!! in Quilting: Completed Projects by Giddiup222 on: February 02, 2011 07:39:05 PM
My dad loooooves Elvis! So for his birthday I made him an Elvis quilt! I think he really liked it but he's one of those that doesn't show a lot of emotion.

The front has pinwheels around it, little pictures of Elvis framed and a blue Hawaii panel I found!

On the back I did a pattern in the center using 3 different fabrics. Here's the close up...

And the whole back!  Complete with Jail house rock!

I had to drape it over the couch to get a full picture. I hope y'all can see it good enough!

C & C welcome!!
