My sister bought three shirts that she wanted me to applique. She picked out the crab design from my discs from www.sewmanydesigns.com My niece Karlee specified that she wanted a tuw-tul (she's 2) and my sister said she wanted the last shirt to have Karlee's initial. I thought that the K would be the easiest-but it was almost my undoing! It was the first thing I had ever tried to applique and it was almost my only and last. Everything that could go wrong-did go wrong-including sewing part of the shirt together (fortunately not with the satin stitching). It made me dread the other two-but they turned out great and now I love to applique! Oh-and the letter and the turtle came from www.swakembroidery.com

I believe I am really starting to like make toys. This is Bleu. It is another pattern from www.bitofwhimsydolls.com This is the Little Louie pattern. I really had fun making him. This was my first time to hand embroider anything. I got his paws a little off center which makes him look a little crooked through the body. Eventually, I will get a pattern straight! LOL!

This is the second plush animal I have made-so far! I wish I was one of those inventive people who didn't "need" a pattern-but I am not! She is made from the Elodie Elephant pattern from http://www.bitofwhimsydolls.com/ I had a lot of fun making her! The fabric is from JoAnns. I did not get her head on quite straight-so it looks like she is looking slightly towards the side. However, I just decided that it made her have more character-after all this is still a learning process. These are by far my favorite patterns-and it would have only taken me about an hour or two if my machine would have cooperated. I am currently working on a different pattern and hope to have it finished tomorrow.

I always thought diaper cakes were cute. I finally bit the bullet and decided to make one for my cousin's first baby. I decorated it simply with baby sock roses and wash cloth lollipops.

I love the pillowcase dresses-and soooo wanted to make one. Well, my niece gave me the opportunity to do just that! She loves Pooh and so this dress was a big hit with her!

My husband bought me a Brother Innovis 2500D for my birthday. I am just scratching the surface of learning on it. I have had sewing machines in the past and have always wanted an embroidery machine. These are a few of my first projects on it.
