1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Baseball Tee on: February 05, 2011 05:38:05 PM
I have an XL baseball long sleeve that I want to make into a size small.
I am not sure how to go about this, primarily the sleeves being the biggest worry.

Anyone with good tutorials or steps in doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!
Yea I was totally creeped out the whole time. It was ridiculous.
My boyfriend cant even look at the ring with out getting the chills. lol

As for instructions I just mixed my resin, poured it into a mold, placed the spider in and positioned it the way I wanted with tweezers, used a blow dryer to get the air bubbles out, waited a few days for the resin to completely dry, then painted the back with a gloss paint, and then attached the ring. it was pretty simple.

Thank you! Yes it is a resin piece made from a mold of a bird skull. I wanted to used the actual skull but it is much to fragile

When I was resining it, I wanted the belly up as well, but the belly kept poking up out of the resin for some reason after numerous attempts of trying to finagle it to stay down. so I finally put it belly down. But I'm not too disappointed now because I have had this piece sitting around for a while and the hourglass ended up completely disappearing.

Thanks! I am terrified of spiders. It's my biggest fear to get bit of have one alive and on me....but when i saw this dead guy laying on the floor I couldn't resist.

Yea, I love the teal color as well. It was originally clear and I feel the clear didn't make it pop as much as the teal did. I am way stoked about the turn out.

Thanks again guys!!!

So I have been in the mood for creepy jewelry lately. This is the first of one of the many things being created in my craft room today. I found this black widow in my old apartment dead. I resined it a while back but couldn't figure out what to do with it. Today it hit me..I NEED NEW RINGS! So i painted the back with teal paint and resined the back lightly, then attached a plain ring to the back. I'm in love with it.

There are much more creepy creations in progress so today and tomorrow will be tons of new posts

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Soldering charms on: December 22, 2010 09:30:26 AM
I am trying to solder 2 pieces of glass together with a picture inside. I used some wire my mom had given me, copper tape (or at least I think its copper), and a soldering iron. It looks like crap and all burnt. What are the exact supplies I need to accomplish this charm. Someone please dumb this down for me because I really want to make this charm

thank you!!!

PS any tutorials will help
