2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: My first Polymer Clay attempts on: March 14, 2010 07:26:11 PM
Thanks for commenting!
The robot was originally planned as a necklace and then I showed him to my dad and now he sits next to his lazyboy...

The rose was actually really quick coming together, just took thin oval shaped pieces and layered them...I sort of took direction from the Martha Stewart coffee filter roses.

Smiley It was alot of fun and I think I am going to attempt an octopus next...but we are in the middle of building our first house so time is not something I have a lot of. Smiley

I'm a bit of a waffler crafter, always wanting to try new things....so here are my first polymer clay items...I also made earrings but I don't have a pic of those....

A love struck robot...(inspired by a lady on etsy)

and as well a partially finished rose:

Thanks!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My first baby blanket (and post!) on: February 03, 2010 06:23:25 PM
Whew....so nervous to be posting this. I consider myself fairly crafty but I'm crafty along the lines of getting stuff falf finished and then it sits where-ever taunting me.

I whipped together this baby blanket for my fiancee's niece-to-be...The daddy-to-be(DTB) really wanted a little boy who would go out in the garage with him, and who would be a diesel mechanic just like him. I wanted to make a blanket that would let DTB know that girls like that stuff to. Mommy-to-be loved it and DTB thought it was terrific. Considering I sewed it together without really knowing what I was doing...and finished it at 1am the night before the baby shower...I was pretty proud.  Smiley

Without further ado...the blanket. yay!

Anyways just to let you all know, I am so inspired by everything you all do. You guys have had a hand in at least a dozen of my WIPS!!

I completely adored everything about your wedding! Especially the paper flowers and the centerpieces!

Any chance you could tell me the name of your dress seller on ebay?
