2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Diamond Glaze on: January 26, 2010 03:03:32 PM
I just made my first round of scrabble pendants! Diamond Glaze wasn't available where I live so I used Aleene's Paper Glaze and it worked perfectly well to create that dimensional layer.
I found this tute really helpful:

Aww, that's so sweet of you. We lost our dog of 16 years a year ago, and so often memories of him flood my mind and I start sobbing. It sucks!
I kept a bunch of his fur from the last time I had given him a trim. I kept it in a container and was planning to do something with it but it got really smelly for some reason so i threw it out. Maybe it was because it was kept in plastic, I dunno.
Anyway, great job and I hope your mom feels better soon.

I love him! He even has the cool, confident look on his face that old alley cats have. =)
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Decoupage fridge? on: December 07, 2009 12:41:36 PM
Sorry no one has had any suggestions...I just came across your post because I, too, am trying to figure out what to use as a sealer for such things. I was actually most interested in finding something that doesn't smell incredibly chemical.
One of the links you posted said they used an acrylic medium first, then sealed with polyurethane... Undecided
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sad Kid (baby goat) on: September 05, 2009 11:48:32 AM
I recently started to play around with embroidery, and have decided that tiny projects, like this one, are better suited for me (I have several laying around that are half done). He is a goat baby I drew a while back.  Grin

Hi everyone!
In the discounted section of Michaels I found a bare wood and clock guts set...I don't know why but it was only $2 (i love a good find!). I've been wanting to do something with the star wars coloring page I came across...I am very pleased with the outcome. Smiley
