1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Punk Painted Skull Hair Clips (2 pictures) on: July 30, 2009 01:18:55 AM
These hair clips I made using a pack of hair fasteners, paint, Fimo and time.  The process was simply making some skull resembling Fimo pieces and painting them.  Of course one cannot stop at simply painting them as to what they resemble, but instead continue on to use them as a canvas. Cheesy I fastened the painted skulls with hot glue to the hair clips.

Unfortunately I recently DIY buzzcut my manly curls, so I cannot model these.

All six:

The two I am most excited about:

Please forgive the blurry second photo.  Lighting is terrible here.  If you  look real close you can see that the dinosaur is wearing Chuck Taylors!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pajama/Cargo Recon To Tranforming Punk Rock Messenger [Pic Heavy] on: July 22, 2009 01:32:00 AM
For it I used an entire plaid pajama suit and a pair of synthetic feeling cargo pants that I picked up at the thrift store!

This messengerbag converts to a backpack and was a complicated endeavor for my level of skill.  I made a basic pattern from scratch referring to a messenger bag I had available.  I chose to make it smaller than a standard sized one.  This is because I wanted a reason to show off its ability to change size and style!  Unfortunately I don't wish to make this post too image heavy so I've left out images of the transformation process in favour of a short description.

The Transformation: (queue Transformers transforming sound effect)
-Unbutton the inside pocket
-Unclip the messenger bag strap in the middle
-Attach the clips to two D-rings at the bottom of the backside messenger bag panel
-Unzip a zipper that goes down one side across the bottom and up the other side
-Drop out the bottom

Side Note: I also made the Shorts and Hoody I am wearing in those pictures Cheesy
