21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Off-the-shoulder dress from a men's button-down on: July 08, 2010 02:28:38 PM
Hey everyone!

I went to the thrift store a while back and saw a really great (really cheap) men's XL plaid shirt.  I grabbed it and decided to turn it into something girlie, poofy and cute.

Here's the result:

Hope you guys like it!

Woo Slayer! Nice! haha anyway, I love the sleeves. The color looks great with the mostly black shirt. I also really love how the neckline is slightly gathered.  It gives it some more detail and makes it interesting.

I am in love with this bag.  I'd seriously carry it as an everyday/school bag and, of course, as a diaper bag.  That fabric is adorable and using fusible fleece and interfacing is GENIUS.

They both look so good and professional. I'm in awe. I just love slightly slouchy bags like these.

This is gorgeous. It reminds me of something a fairy would wear.

Awww, thank you! And you're right! There are so many ways to customize these. It's really fun to do.

This is wonderful! I, too, will have to keep an eye out for jellies!

Hey everyone! I've lurked and commented on posts for a while, but this is my first actual post. Yay!
So, these are two collage bracelets I made.

This one's made from a spent duct tape roll and the Sunday comics:

This one's an old plastic bracelet I got as a party favor years ago.  I covered it in old sheet music:

I made a tutorial on these here:http://impishdiy.blogspot.com/2009/07/how-to-make-upcycled-collage-bracelet.html (I hope that's ok to link to! Let me know if it isn't.)

Thanks for looking! Hope you liked them.

Harcourt just may be my favorite, but they're all great!
